Where is the tangible proof Dak is a good leader?

Dallas Cowboys Breakfast Club - YouTube

here's all the proof you need. back in 2016 this video was actually heralded as proof that Dak had "won over" the locker room and had great chemistry with the key pieces.
Sad what blind hope will do to a fanbase......

I mean, do you see how he tosses that hot sauce on point to Dez? what more do you need to see?
Brotherhood, camraderie, leadership on full display.

Top tier level of delusion
So
Are you new to Cowboys fandom? Romo got absolutely destroyed on a regular basis. In fact, he got it far worse than Dak has to this point. People STILL hate on Romo and he hasn’t been the Cowboys QB for a while.
And yet Romo was invited to put on a full Mavs uniform and sit with the team during a real game as the "12th man". And yet Romo was given the key to the city? Will Dak be honored in these ways like Romo when they produce the same subpar results? I think you know the answer.

don't hate on dak for this game it was a combination of stupid play calling and the defense or lack of. when a team is hurting like green bay and you can't beat them after your bye well that says it all. and when tolbert lined up off sides there is no excuse he did play in college right so where is the excuse there. and for all that cee dee lamb did in this game his route running is well to put it lightly no where near a no1 receiver and our defensive back field couldn't stop an elephant catching a ball and the defensive line well the running game shows there weakness every game and the coachs same as it's been for the last 25 years BAD

There was and is plenty of hate towards Romo but see what you will. People criticize Dak, just as they did Romo, and it's viewed as hate because people want to be victims and play the victim card.

For some reason many fans have a sudden love for Romo, after he was replaced.
A friend of mine always talking Tony Romo now, and how great he was. But when he was actually playing, he was as frustrated and others for throwing those goal line picks.
Now he acts as if Romo was great. With all the excuses, surrounding players, no defense...which is mostly true...however he acts as if he did nothing wrong.

I told him the only difference is Romo had much better pocket awareness, and more accurate on certain throws. Otherwise they are basically the same.

I was more pro Dak than not, giving him this season to see where I stand. But I been that way for the past 3 seasons. Allowing for the injuries to become a non factor. However I am now at a 50-50 stance on him. What do we have, 2 more years on his contract? Unfortunately we have the Jerry insanity factor.

I think there will be more frustrations ahead.

I’ve been a dak defender the entire time but yesterday showed me the light . Dak needs to go sell matresses full time .
He’s complete trash and will never win an important game .
He’s a stat compiler in games that don’t matter . His arm is weak , he doesn’t see field well , he’s erratic under pressure , he does not have great pocket awareness , he’s not fast , he literally sucks .He’s marginally better than Rush but at 40 million he’s a franchise killer

Couple of key differences:

Dak was given the keys to the city prematurely in 2016 without an open competition.

Romo was a humble, likeable guy who didn't spend most of his free time either blaming everyone but himself for team failures, or trying to convince anyone with microphone that he was far more valuable than he actually was.

Dak and his self exalting, me first demeanor bring a lot of this on himself. He gets what he gets.

Where is the on-the-field proof? I don’t care about butt slaps and attaboys.

Does he perform in there clutch? No. Does he ever put the team on his back and carry them to victory? No. Does his leadership translate to a disciplined well-oiled offense? No. Does he show up in big games, playoff games. No.

Where is the proof?! *Avon Barksdale voice*

Dak is a good cheerleader. We don't need a cheerleader when down in the trenches, we need a resolved leader who will lead us out.

I agree and it is likely something that should never be impersonated nor should it be tried. Not sure why they feel that Dak is going to toss the ball 50 times and win a game one of these days.

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.

There is none. I've been saying it for years. People just say he is.

You can't be a great leader when you've never led a team to anything on any level of your athletic career.

I look forward to a time when he is no longer the QB and his life partner is not the RB.
He is a phony leader like the phony management we have

You call someone a good leader that don't have skills you can brag about.

He does nothing at all well.

Romo was not great and neither is Prescott. The Cowboys have had two great, Staubach and Aikman and two near-great, Meredith and White.

The search for greatness at that position continues after Prescott. And I agree about this continuing because Johnson was dead on about Booger, he cannot admit he was wrong and people like that continue being wrong hoping they will be right.
