Hey maybe I am a hater I'm not willing to give Romo Roger staubach's moniker of Captain comeback I don't think he deserves it or anything close.

Romo was better than average at controlling his own damage I will give him that. But many times he couldn't even do that.
No one is asking for Romo to get Staubach love.

Why are you making stuff up?

Who..please tell me WHO...is acting like Romo was Roger?

He's a dumb ax...and pretending even more stupiditity.
Blackie's a good egg. I'm not going to think less of him just because he doesn't like Romo as much as I do.

It took several times seeing those YouTube "Unavailable" messages before I realized you could click on the link, so I certainly don't think he's playing dumb about it.

This greatest sin of this franchise was the failure to support Romo early with meaningful acquisitions to help a talented but inexperienced and undersized QB from a small school.

He didn't need Mo Claiborne, Felix Jones, Mike Jenkins, etc. He needed Tyron, Martin, and Frederick much earlier so he didn't have to take a beating and run for his life.

Once he refined his game, he was truly elite, but by then, he was beaten to a pulp.

He was the second best QB in Cowboys history to Staubach, and if he had Troy's teams, I believe he wins a 4th Super Bowl with that 90s team.
People easily forget, Romo was alot of fun to watch at times. He could, and had to, carry the offense at times. You always believed he could pull a game out in the last 2 minutes. I just don't get that feeling in the last few years. Wish it was different.

So glad I got to see championship winning Dallas Cowboy quarterbacks.
You saw. Did you observe and learn?

Surrounding Staubach:
HOF coach: Tom Landry
HOF players: Lee Roy Jordan, Cliff Harris, Randy White, Rayfield Wright, Mel Renfro, Bob Lilly, Drew Pearson, Tony Dorsett
Perennial All-Pros Charlie Waters, Too-Tall Jones, Pat Donovan, Herbert Scott, Tony Hill, Calvin Hill, John Niland

Surrounding Aikman:
HOF coach: Jimmy Johnson,
HOF players: Emmitt Smith, Charles Haley, Deion Sanders, Michael Irvin, Larry Allen
Perennial All-Pros Darren Woodson, Mark Stepnoski, Jay Novacek, Erik Williams, Ken Norton Jr., Leon Lett,

Top quarterbacks win SQUAT without greatness around them.

Click on it bro/
I got it to play my bad it said it wouldn't play but when I kept clicking on it I got it to play good video I have watched it before and enjoyed .

Like I said before I have no hate for Romo and appreciate what he did and how he sacrificed his body.
But I will never put him on the same level as Roger staubach or give him his moniker of Captain comeback.

I watched both players careers in their entirety.
One was a very good quarterback and the other was a flat-out NFL legend that could not only rise to the occasion himself but inspire all the men around him to play way above their heads because of their belief in him

Thanks Runny I got it to play and it was great to watch a lot of good chemistry between Tony and TO.

more of the Pillsbury doughboy than a well conditioned athlete.
A flack jacket = Pillsbury Doughboy?

Dude, maybe not real observant when watching?
You can even see the "Rawlings" brand on the flack jacket he's wearing under his jersey.

You're going to extremes to try and prove Romo was something he wasn't.
Romo won a lot of regular season games but only 2 games when it mattered. Nobody's changing my opinion on him. I watched him for a decade. Like I said he was a good QB. He's a good guy. I do think he's a great announcer. He's no better than our 3rd best QB. And I'm not even sure about that. Don't know why people want to make him into something he wasn't.

I know I fail fabulously in doing so, but I try to keep an open mind about all my opinions.

PA Cowboy Fan...I will ask...will you consider changing your opinion about one (1) Romo game!?
Sure I'll give you that. It was a very entertaining game. I'll also give you that Tony was saddled with Jason Garrett through most of his time here. I wish Parcells had stayed. It might have made a difference. And no matter what Romo did or Dak does the biggest obstacle in us not winning a championship has always been Jerry. Let's hope this year we can break through and win something. I know I get heated on here sometimes but it's really just frustration. And with that I think I'm going to bow out of this thread.

Greatest Comeback in Cowboys history (Tie)*

i

I add an asterisk because it wasn't a tough opponent. It was tactical surgery more than fireworks. But facts: Dallas recovered from 21 point deficit to win. Only third time in Cowboys history that's happened. 34-31 Dallas.

Get 'er done.

Spot on my brother I put him forth in cowboy history behind Roger Troy and Danny White didn't watch enough of Don Meredith to speak on him

Just agree that Romo plays better when chasing a target, Dak plays better when managing a lead. At least we now have the opportunity ,with this defense, (and I suppose why we highlighted a run stuffing DT and a very good CB2 in the off season) to set a gameplan that focus' on early defensive risk taking to help establish field position and a lead.

Both Romo and Dak have their skillsets, play to their strengths.
