A handful play hard. That's it. It's a fractured unit. Fractured team. A ship without a Captain. This team was put together with Scotch tape and worthless jargon in the off-season. We deserve everything that's happening.
Perfectly said. And won’t change until JJ and son step aside to allow for a real GM and coaching staff. It’s very simple

You stand and state that two safeties over top; DaRond Blond and Trevon Diggs; Eric Kendricks and Devarion Overland; then Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence would not be a strong defense? Three can easily be added at the call of Zimmer.

Don't give up and rush to not really being true about strengths still existing. The strength can still be there. Late or not is that question.

Slowly but surely, Mike Zimmer's defense has made strides as his players get more comfortable in the scheme. It was evident last week with five sacks and two turnovers, but there's still work to be done to meet Zimmer's expectations.

"He keeps his players motivated and expects his players to come in wanting to learn more and wanting to do better," Overshown said. I think when you've got that as a coach and as a leader you never can get too far down, you never can feel like you can't get back up from what y'all just faced."

Although there have been a lot of down points for the Cowboys defense this year, Overshown prides himself on giving his all every snap for veteran players like Eric Kendricks, who are nearing the tail-end of their careers, hoping that his effort can carry long-term effects for the defense's production and his teammates' appreciation.

The past three weeks the element for leadership and motivation was missing from the coaching staff. Well, that element showed up again on the defensive side.

Zimmer is the man. Linebackers are the fiber that connects a defense, from crashing in on the linebacker to the secondary behind. This group of 'backers' are battle proven now. That and they are good.

Micah Parsons, DeMarvion Overton, and Eric Kendricks are a strong and talented trio. Damone Clark, and Marist Liufau provide a good depth.

I'm watching this group provide speed and intensity.

The other two groups will be growing strongly.
We are going to end up with a top 5 pick.....And end up taking a RB in the 1st round. Just like when we drafted Zeke. Book it

This isn't a school election and you or a bunch of belligerent acting out doesn't change a discussion. No problem but to a discussion.

Truth about players can stand on it's own merit and without rah rah's.

You haven't agreed to a single player merit.
homer extremes are funny

Overshown had impressed but anyone calling him a superstar had no cred

Kneeland flashed so that is good

Guyton is still raw and needs time

like what I see from Beebe

outside of that this years new guys have not impressed
and players we expected a lot more from like Parsons and Diggs have been disappointments

DL is a joke.

Kendricks is on his last legs

the safeties have done little

There’s been no consistency with the defense. It can look good one week and horrible the next.

They looked good vs DeShaun Watson, Justin Fields, and Danny Dimes. They’re second only to the Panthers for the most points per game given up.

1. You believe nothing but a slanted crowing
2. The overview for Overshown was very brief in nature, but two sacks and open field tackling warrants credit
3. Guyton is a first year player
4. Diggs and Parsons both have been injured, they will fully show before the end of this season, and strongly
5. Again, Parsons and Lawrence on any defensive line is not shabby
6. Oh, Kendricks is more than hanging, that can be re-entered when LB Marist Liufau develops more fully
7. Two high safeties work on many deep routes while corners work on most threats

What you do is trash talk and build little more than scorn.

Point difference sways game flow...very little points don't.

What, exactly, is Zimmer’s “scheme”? What are his expectations? Fans spew words like scheme and have no idea what they’re talking about. Zimmer’s ideas of defense can probably be found etched on cave walls by primitive peoples. He’s as gone as McCarthy when this season is mercifully over. Zimmer is not “the man”. Kendricks is not talented and will not be in the NFL next season. I suggest a more realistic perception for anyone intending to remain a fan. Ask Washington fans. It’s a long trek and idiotic nonsense about “speed and intensity” won’t make anything happen any faster.
You most believe new schemes are invented every other week.

Against Philadelphia, five sacks and two turn-overs for Dallas. Wake up...
That was one game and the defense only held up for a half. We gave up 34 points. Have you seen any consistency with the defense? We rank 26th in total defense.

I don't explain 15 times a question. Score more than 6 points before you worry about 5 sacks and 2 turnovers and keep up. That is here and now.

With the defense we have we need to score 30+ to win games.

But you do realize the reason like many football games I watch I don't care what level you're at when your offense is horrible can't move the ball Kansas State and drives constantly either turning it over or punting guess what happens the defense eventually breaks they can't maintain that level all game so they played that first half very well but at some point against the team like Philadelphia we need some offense I mean if the offense isn't gonna help the defense and yes it works both ways but in this game that's the best our defense look against the team that has a dynamic offense they do I got two really good receivers a good tight end an exceptional running back and a very good quarterback one of the better offensive lines in football shall I go on so you gotta give them credit but eventually they found the cracks and they blew them open that happens when your defense is gassed in the first half because that's all your offense can muster this under 100 yards passing I mean I don't even think they got to 57 net passing yards didn't do squat literally showed up without an offense if Prescott would have played that first half and they could have moved that ball a little more this game would have been a whole lot different in my opinion I know people gonna say no you can't say that yes I can if our defense could show up like that in other games like you said they've been inconsistent Prescott in our offense would have fared a lot better in many of those games because we need some turnovers and we need some stops by the defense the whole team's been inconsistent but the defense did look in my opinion the best it has all year yes for 1/2 because of who they played... But I saw some signs and man if we could get some more of these guys back I mean we're going to see some key players I mean some really good players I mean bland for sure would be tons better there anything else on that side all year long...

I mean this happened to my Texas Longhorn team against Georgia offense was absolutely terrible in the first half but the defense was absolutely awesome but as time went on Georgia broke through started running all over our defense and it's how it works they got gassed.... Heck it almost happened today against Arkansas it never should have but our defense was out there a long time because our offense was not doing very well as far as sustaining drives but eventually they won the game because it wasn't georgia lol I'm just showing you examples you could have a great defense it can play great but if your offense doesn't chip in at all eventually you get gassed and you end up getting ran over you can't sustain that kind of effort without the help of the rest of the team yeah in the penalties and the things that are called back like on special teams I mean that's where the being lost
