Which headcoach do you want to replace Wade?

Easy to see if Dallas does hire a coach some are not going to be happy with the selection. Oh well that should be expected around here.

Rob Ryan?

Why?

He's nowhere as creative as Rex.

I voted Tony Dungy

He left Tampa and the team he had won the Superbowl with Gruden
Goes to Colts 10 or so years straight winning playoffs games plus 1 superbowl
Leaves Colts and new coach slide in and they still off to great start

He builds great teams and have a high winning percentage especially playoff wins

We haven't won playoff game since when??

Mine is a write in.

Jerry Jones. Get it over with and put on a baseball cap and stay on the sidelines.

Dungy is a very good coach I would also say he is the least likely to return to the coaching ranks.

If you honestly believe that, then you really have no clue about the Garrett Family.

He looks REAL passionate when he does nothing with Tony after another crucial turnover except snuggle with him on the sidelines.

He doesn't get in his face or ANYONES face for that matter. Who gives an S what the "Garrett Family" and all of its plethora of coaches have accomplished in the Ivy League. They dont have the temperment to do anything for a team with such high visibility. Give me Rex anyday of that dud JG. At least he has a VISIBLE passion for the game.

Holmgren and I don't think any others are worthy. This guy builds good teams and takes them to the Superbowl everywhere he goes. He is well respected by players, owners, fans, and the media.

Why so high on Jason Garrett. Not arguing, just wondering

He is from a lifetime Football family.

He is incredibly smart.

He has a very serious yet not soft attitude toward being a coach.

Men I greatly respect (coaching wise) vouch for his Football mind.

I think he will be a better head coach than he is a coordinator (and I think he is good at that)

If I am gonna take a chance on a young coach ..... I want a real Dallas Cowboy.

I would add Holmgren also has a very good relationship with Jerry Jones.

That is one in a million chance of happening.

Agreed.

The writing has been on the wall for some time.

It WILL be Garrett.

That is why Wade was not canned.
That is why there hasn't been talk of another coach.
That is why Garrett was brought in.
That is why Garrett was given all that money.

Garrett is next in line.

Good thread.

I voted for Bill Cowher as the one I would like to see as a coach if the circumstances led for us to get a new coach.

But like others have mentioned, I would be more than happy to keep Wade because that most likely means that he had success in the playoffs.
