Should've never signed Murray. He's been a below average player since drafted into the league. He continues to get signed because he's a great athlete and physical. He just plays like he has no idea what he's doing half of the time. Sanborn can read and see the play develop with the best of them, but cant break down in space and make a tackle to save his life. In a very small area around the line of scrimmage, he's ok on obvious run downs. Said it in another thread, there really is no right answer at this position. I'd lean into the younger players with the hope they will show improvement over the season.

Need to completely redo the LB position. Nothing here except Overshown, and he can't stay on the field.

Lifaus energy is cute and some think hes going to become the LB version of Polumalu, because of obvious reasons, but hes undisciplined and baited out of position way too many times

Same as he was in college. I was hoping he'd learn to play under control, but hasn't happened yet.

I would start Liufau, Clark and James. The reason is because Murray has not future in Dallas. He is really not very good. At least Sanborn seems to know what he is doing, he just struggles because he is too slow for the NFL. Murray looks like is is clueless out there. Clark, Liufau and James are young. Let them play and see if any of them can step up. When Overshown comes back, Clark will probably go to the bench but the speed of these 3 gives them better options. They'll make mistakes but in the long run the Cowboys will be a better team.

Sorry, the guy who made this play (#59) does not belong on the field unless it as an emergency replacement.

That's always the hope we've all been disappointed around here with flashes in a pan you know what I mean like I have hoped that they will That's why I said I'd rather have mistakes coming from youth with Hope than what we already notice is not working with the veterans...

Not encouraging that I heard that they're probably starting Murray at middle linebacker I don't know if that's true or not but that's what they say he's practicing the green dot so I don't know who they're sacrificing from the youth but at times we probably need all three on the field.. But that is understandable given I don't think these young players have ever called the defense...

Actually at times it looked great and other times it didn't I mean it was kind of hit and miss but at least Dan Quinn tried to think outside the box and utilize every ounce of talent he could from anyone on that team versus sticking with status quo..

First of all, we don't get along because of this anytime you use Jerrys name and player evaluation it makes me know that you just want to say something bad about Jerry...

Do realize that we have a full coaching staff full of very very tenured defensive coaches, and a head coach ,and a bunch of other coaches, and scouts, that are all layered between the players and Jerry....​

jerry doesn't make these decisions, jerry didn't go out and ask for Murray and Sanborn and draft James or developed liafu, that would be MATT Eberflus...​

I've read some of your other stuff I think you're dead wrong, liafu is still growing, it needs to be developed, he has instincts, he just needs to tone his very aggressive and sometimes he doesn't have pause and he gets out of position going after the big play, that can be Developed out of him. I like him he has the physical tools he has the aggression. And then you add in the fact James you already mentioned him also can be developed along with Overshown it makes it less of a need or a desperation move in the draft..

So I left the 17 games play out, let's see what happens, then we can make these wholesale judgments but Jerry doesn't go out and recognize who has talent or not, he hired people to do that And you would think a linebackers coach you know our defensive coordinator is supposed to be a linebacker whisperer he's supposed to be the guru Or you're blaming Jerry for hoping that the very coordinater he hired as supposed to be a professional and supposed to be great at this one position is failing hard at it or are we all not giving him enough time..

Matt needs some time, Zimmer didn't look good mid-season last year either and all of a sudden, he got a few players back the players bought in they got it figured out, and they played really well down the stretch...

I think we're overreacting a little early, yes the defense have sucked from every level all three levels ,it's one week it's bad in one and decent in another and then the next week it falls off it's been total chaos on defense, kind of hard to judge who's actually the ones creating all this, when you're picking on individual players..​

Thing is it's hard to teach a defense with the green dot to a middle linebacker supposed to get everyone in the right spots, that is why Sanborn and Murray were brought over by Matt,

but Matt needs to figure out does he need to get rid of both these players and figure out who else on that defense could be the green dot we've seen this from a safety with Dan Quinn when Kearse was the guy.. he wasn't the middle linebacker, but he was able to call the defense.
