At #4 you need to be looking the chances of winning over 10 years instead of 5. To me thats one of the top 3 QBs, Ramsey or Bosa

Don't see Jerry taking another offensive linemen at 4, nor do I see a running back in today's NFL that early, Wentz and Goff will be gone to the Rams and Cleveland.....If Ramsey falls to Dallas, I think records would be broken running his card up to the draft table with his name on it...

You are guaranteed five years which is why I used it. A franchise QB has a shelf life of 12 years.

To me with the 4th pick, I want at least 2 contracts of at or near Pro Bowl level. Anything less to me is a waste of resources, which is why Im not in favor of Elliott that high. Your likely letting him walk after the deal or paying him and exuberant amount during declining play for past performances

Well your assuming the player will work out and be a all pro, but that isnt always the case.
Look at clowny in houston. and some of our first round picks like claiborne and carpenter.

Just because they take a qb at 4 doesnt mean he will be around that long and a franchise qb.
Same thing for bosa and ramsey.
I like the elliot pick at 4 but he too could be a bust or just not that great, like a reggie bush.
