Well your assuming the player will work out and be a all pro, but that isnt always the case.
Look at clowny in houston. and some of our first round picks like claiborne and carpenter.

Just because they take a qb at 4 doesnt mean he will be around that long and a franchise qb.
Same thing for bosa and ramsey.
I like the elliot pick at 4 but he too could be a bust or just not that great, like a reggie bush.

I do think his bust factor is less than some. Bosa is likely a fairly safe pick to be a solid player. Zeke will probably be a Pro Bowler, IMO, but that doesn't take away the fact he isn't going to help us win as much as a rush DL can....and I emphasize can. Ramsey isn't going to be spectacular....he doesn't have to be. He and any DE just need to enhance the defense enough to rise the level of water for them all.

Tunsil from that group. Doug Free is about done and Chaz Green is an unknown.

I'd disagree over the next 2 years but Tunsil would eventually push Free to swing tackle this year and the club's ability to release him soon. And Tunsil will be there for years IMO. He could not be all that but I suspect he has a 75%+ chance of being a solid+ starter for years.

If he's there at 4 and Ramsey is gone along with the top two QBs then they have to seriously think about the guy. I wouldn't hesitate myself but I think Ramsey or a few others can help the team more this year.

Good post.

Pretty sure an OT isn't going to be picking up any yards come game day.

It doesn't matter how many times you post this, people are going to ignore it. Trolling, can't interpret the info, don't give a crap about the info they know what is the score, whatever.
I rank that image right up there with this one. (for those who didn't catch the sarcasm)

Ramsey isn't going to be spectacular....he doesn't have to be.

Really, he has to. If Ramsey is just a good player (at best 'a Newman'), he shouldn't be the pick (unless you don't like any other available player, won't trade up and can't trade down - in that case I'm still going DL before DB, btw).

So you spend high picks on your entire OL and then you get to decide who you want to let go when contracts are due. Genius.

So you don't think all of the QB's and RB's will bust...

Course not. Esp runningbacks. Now qbs arent as good as last years but not ALL of them will bust. 1-2 might become avg nfl starters. Elliot, dixon, henry ( although hes more like brandon jacobs) might be ok. There are others. So no, not all will bust but some will. But explaining this is boring and everyone already knows it.

The patriots ate the model team when it comes to working the draft and selecting players. What would they do in this scenario? I think they would be looking for a trade, no matter what.

It would almost be worth dallas drafting elliott just because this place would be unbearable if they didnt. Elliott could completely flop(50/50 odds) and we'd still hear about how it was a mistake to pass up on him. This is a true statement and if you dont agree just google "cowboys+zone+murray"

This will be true to a degree no matter what we do...there will be cheers and jeers and rue galore.....
It will be like Christmas...kids getting a shiny new toy, kids not getting what they wanted, kids getting what they wanted....kids getting clothes, kids getting practical stuff....but with the 4th pick, I hope we don't get a lump of coal....

10 days to go....10 more days...not counting the day of the draft, as there will be many of rumors flying around to keep us entertained.

I would not be opposed, in the least, to Tunsil at #4 since I'm pretty much in agreement with everyone else that Wentz and Goff will be gone.

I don't agree. If he solidifies our pass defense then he doesn't HAVE to do more ie INTs. You'd like that obviously.

We can unveil the new 10-lineman formation.

I'm actually not against Tunsil, but only so we have ammunition for trading for a qb eventually.

When all are healthy, what's wrong with our team.....DEFENSE, a lack of it on the DL and the Secondary.
Elliott is the only player who would be drafted #4 and actually start on the offense.

On defense, just about anyone we take in round 1, trade down or stay put, will be starting or playing a great deal.
