With Bledsoe, being benched and Romo, now starting you can bet this is Bledsoe's last season here in Dallas.

I was wondering which QB in college should we draft to fit our system right now and why.

Here are some names: Chris Leak, (Florida) Troy Smith, (Ohio State) Brady Quinn, (Norte Dame) Kevin Kolb, (Houston) Jordan Palmer, (UTEP) John Stocco, (Wisconsin) Brian Brohm, (Louisville) or Drew Stanton (Michigan State).

You be the judge.

Sorry I have a huge boner for Chris Leak.

Brohm is the guy I like the best...and no I am not forgetting quinn.
Agreed. Brohm has impressed me his entire career.

The only thing that gives me pause about him is that when he went down for two games, his backup played just as well if not better than him.

I would love to have John David Booty, but I just don't see him entering the draft. I think he'll stay there for one more year.

Normally, because he's only started on year, I would agree. However, you figure both his starting WRs will probably come out. Smith is a Sr. so he's coming out, Jarrett is a Jr. but I'd imagine he will probably declare early. Depending on how his LT Baker grades out, and I think he's probably going to grade out well, he too might come out early. His RT, Williams is a Sr. so he's going to come out. His LG Radovich is a Jr. but I doubt he will declare. His Center Kalil is a Sr. so he's coming out as well. Potentially, that could be 5 or 6 starters leaving that SC starting offense. Combine that with what happened to Leinart after making his decision to stay in and I would not be surprised to see Booty come out if he has a great year.

I've been saying all along, Jordan Palmer.

He's going to be a late 1st or early 2nd.

He has all the physical tools of his older brother. Size, poise, toughness, accuracy, and arm strength. Mike Price says that no other QB has played and mastered his system like Palmer, so that's saying something.

The difference between Jordan and Carson is that Jordan doesn't have the experience Carson did. He only played QB 1 year in high school.

A Romo vs. Palmer training camp would be very nice.

I wouldn't mind have Johnnie Lee Higgins at WR from UTEP either. 6'2", runs a 4.3 40, and currently leads the nation in recieving.

The thing I do like about Palko is his TD to INT ratio. In his first two seasons, he's thrown 41 TDs against 16 INTs. This year, so far, he's thrown 18 TDs against 3 INTs with games left. To me, that is pretty impressive.

However, he is not my favorite either.

He's a pretty darn good player on a pretty darn crappy team.

I've said before that I believe he'll turn out to be the best QB out of this year's crop unless Henne declares.

another wise man, not that anyone is foolish for suggesting anyone else but i believe palmer has the biggest potential of any of the QB's coming out of the draft. He has the skills to be a awesome QB

Until we get an online it doesn't matter

DING, DING. DING, DING, DING, DING! We have a WINNER!

Once in every long while we might oughtta consider an offensive lineman with a high pick. This strategy of finding "gems" in the mid-to-late rounds hasn't panned out for us since...I don't know...Larry Allen maybe? Columbo, Rivera, and, to a lesser extent, Kozier have been decidedly less than stellar. You could put Montana back there and we're not going to be much better.

"Which"?

That sounds like you think we should take only one of them.

I was wondering when you'd join the frey Stan. :laugh2:

I have not seen enough of Palko to give a real good evaluation of him but if he continues the way he's going now, he's going to end up with something like 65/70 TDs against 20/25 INTs. That stat catches the eye.

Myself, I like Quinn but for the value, I like a healthy Brohm even better. The kid nobody is talking about in this thread is Stanton. To me, he's the wild card. I think he might turn into something special.

Exactly. He just need works on the mental game, but the system he's in is a pro style offense and he's taken giant steps.

His numbers this year aren't as big as in years past but he's playing very efficient football. He's learned when to throw the ball away and he's making very good decisions.

Actually, Larry was a second rounder, so it's even rarer.

Why are people suggesting we look for prospects to draft in the late first to early second rounds? The way we are playing, we won't be drafting late, and if we're going to take a QB early, why not go for a first round prospect over a second?

If Dallas continues to play the way they have been the past few weeks, we might just end up with a top QB prospect.

Out of teams with as many wins as us or less, who all will be in the market for a QB? Cleveland? Detroit? Oakland? Miami, possibly?

Well when the only thing you say is say NO to Midget QB's what else am I supposed to think.

My judgment is based on his play and he's second to none including Quinn there.

I think alot of people still feel that Black QB's are inferior and to be honest the first time Smith played I was like oh man I don't want a running QB.

But Smith has really developed over the last two years and with continued good QB coaching he could be really special.
