I think Wolverine would be an awesome lineman. offense or defense. just a nasty mauler type who would put people on their backs.BrAinPaiNt said:Wolverine - could not get much nastier at LB.

If we're just talking comic books, we already have Lucy.

ok....I was just looking to share that hilarious gif. Sometimes laughing helps. Clearly, the answer is superpunk.

I'd expect old Pork Chop to sign Bizarro to a Vet minimum deal.
:laugh2:

In that case ...
Kryptonite-uniforms
Kryptonite-jock straps
Kryptonite-footballs
In fact this post is being written in Kryptonite-ink!

If you could pick just one the the Super Friends to be on the boys who would you pick?
Superman would be the obvious choice but I'm sure Zimmer would have found a way to have him so out of position and confused he may not have time to recover.
The Wonder Twins might work. On goal line D they could be like -"form of a brick wall." But that little monkey would probably get on my nerves too bad.
I've been wishing for that one meaner than mean MLB for a while now. I would love to see THOR playing MLB'er for us swinging that giant hammer knocking opposing foes cold as they came across the line. Man you talk about intimidating.
I could just see Brandon Jacobs busting thru the line only to get blasted back 20 yards by the blow of that 50 pound thunder stick. Now that's what I'm talking about.
As a kid I always liked Aqua Man but it would probably be pretty hard to summon marine life to Texas Stadium.
So there you have it. I cast my vote for THOR. Swing that Hammer you big, mean, nasty Man O' War!
BrAinPaiNt;1305148 said:The guy starts off saying a member of the superfriends but then chooses thor.
Thor was not a superfriend...heck he was not even in DC Comics. He was in Marvel comics and he had his own comic and part time member of the Avengers.
YES I used to be a comic book geek.:laugh2:
I like the suggestions of The Hulk, Spiderman, Juggernaut and the Flash.
How about these names...
Professor X as coach, he could control the other players by getting in their heads.
Wolverine - could not get much nastier at LB.
Magneto - Metal screws in the helmets could make things fun for him.
Vision - If he did not want to be touched, he would not be touched.
Colossus - Why use an iron man suit, when your skin turns to metal like this guy.
Nightcrawler as QB - Not only is he very athletic but just imagine him getting the ball, dropping back one step and POOF teleporting to the endzone for a TD.
Ok..those are just some names...and again Yes I was a comic book geek.

BrAinPaiNt;1305438 said:I have not bought a comic book since....around 88 I would say.
However I still have a couple of huge boxes at the parents house full of mostly old marvel comics. No not early editions of spider man or anything of that magnitude...but a good deal of comics from the late 70's to late 80's and a few before that time.
iceberg;1305449 said:mid 80's is when i quit. some of my $ titles were frank miller wolverines and daredevils, the electra series that finally got made into a movie, and for awhile, i even had silver surfer #4. there were some good runs in that timeframe also. if you have some early x-men you got gold. (94 and giant sized 1 for example). but i've started back up and liked ghost rider till #6 when they changed artists and the new guy blows. that series is done now.
iceberg;1305423 said:thor was marvel. the superfriends were DC.
hendog;1305474 said:You and Brainpaint quit busting my _____s on this. Super friends - superheros, DC, Marvel, whatever. I think I got my point across. Not everone is a comic geek, or uh - guru.
I'm not worthy.
