I was a fan of Marvel...never really a DC fan except for a few comics.

My faves were X-Men, Conan, Avengers and the Hulk.

Never was a huge fan of spider man comics.

Superman would be the obvious choice but I'm sure Zimmer would have found a way to have him so out of position and confused he may not have time to recover.

The Wonder Twins might work. On goal line D they could be like -"form of a brick wall." But that little monkey would probably get on my nerves too bad.

I've been wishing for that one meaner than mean MLB for a while now. I would love to see THOR playing MLB'er for us swinging that giant hammer knocking opposing foes cold as they came across the line. Man you talk about intimidating.
I could just see Brandon Jacobs busting thru the line only to get blasted back 20 yards by the blow of that 50 pound thunder stick.Now that's what I'm talking about.

As a kid I always liked Aqua Man but it would probably be pretty hard to summon marine life to Texas Stadium.

Thor was not a superfriend...heck he was not even in DC Comics. He was in Marvel comics and he had his own comic and part time member of the Avengers.

I like the suggestions of The Hulk, Spiderman, Juggernaut and the Flash.

How about these names...

Professor X as coach, he could control the other players by getting in their heads.

Wolverine - could not get much nastier at LB.

Magneto - Metal screws in the helmets could make things fun for him.

Vision - If he did not want to be touched, he would not be touched.

Colossus - Why use an iron man suit, when your skin turns to metal like this guy.

Nightcrawler as QB - Not only is he very athletic but just imagine him getting the ball, dropping back one step and POOF teleporting to the endzone for a TD.

Ok..those are just some names...and again Yes I was a comic book geek.

leave uit to bp to come to the rescue and seperate all these misguided people. incidently, i've refound my love for comics due to a 29 year old "metal babe" (from my site) i hang out with a lot and her getting me back into them. the 'civil war' series got interesting at #6.

I have not bought a comic book since....around 88 I would say.

However I still have a couple of huge boxes at the parents house full of mostly old marvel comics. No not early editions of spider man or anything of that magnitude...but a good deal of comics from the late 70's to late 80's and a few before that time.

I think I had the reprint of the X-Men number one but if memory serves it was not in the best condition.

I also had the Wolverine in the Daredevil comic issue..I believe Frank Miller did that one.

I also had a simonz or simonson (can't remember the name as it has been so long) Thor Cover comic.

I really need to go get a guide and go through some of those.

Might get a decent price off of ebay for them.

I also had a decent size collection of the Conan Comic/Magazines although I doubt they are worth much.
