I dont get it?
Its obviously another sidways dig on us and his favorite ex WR and you find it funny?[/quote

Well I didnt take it that way, I took it as he was making fun of Superhero geeks ( I find it funny long story )] And don't forget whats his name Dawkins calls himself weapon X thats clearly a comic reference to Wolverine, There are allot of Football players who are comic geeks I have dealt with a few.
If I took it the wrong way I'm sorry , I thought he was making fun of comic geeks, If he would reply and explain himself that would be cool

Just messing with you...please don't take offense as none was meant.

No offense taken. I was just messing with you. I realize it's a silly post. Just trying to get my mind off the last month of the season. I said to myself. Who's the 1 person out there that could really come in here and make an impact and is a FA.

Then it hit me SUPERMAN.

We're cool. I'm just glad you guys are contributing to the post.

My official Marvel NFL team offense:

QB: Captain America...who else?
RB: Quicksilver...breakaway speed
FB: Juggernaut...cannot be stopped
WR: Falcon...flight and good hands
SE: Gambit...makes things happen
TE: Thor...but can't use the hammer w/o 15 yard penalty
RT: Sasquatch...has to play low so Cap can see over him
RG: Colossus...not athletic enought to play tackle
C: Ben Grimm...controls the line calls
LG: Hercules...too small to play tackle
LT: The Hulk...enough said

Ah...good thing on Grimm...should have thought of him.

I actually though of Sasquatch for a CFL team lol...I did not think many would be comic geeks enough to know him and Alpha Flight.

I'll take J also. Nothing on Earth can stop his momentum, so he'd be great around the goalline! :laugh2:

Does Zimmer count? Some people here seem to think he's a superhero.

I'll go ahead and go with Wonder Woman. The team will still suck, but at least I get to see a hot amazon chick on the field.

Augh......

You need Henry McCoy, Beast. Or, if you would rather go dark side on us, maybe you can consider Brainiak.

Mr. Fantastic, Reed Richards, could play safety. He is a genius so he could make all the defensive calls. Plus even if the receiver was open, Richards could still intercept the ball. In fact, he would probably intercept every pass.

How about Eve (Natasha Henstridge) from the Species movies?

Not sure how fast she is, but she'd be tougher to bring down than Skyler Green.

Why, .. when I was a boy we didn't have comic books. We were too poor.

We rode our old beat up bicycles that our brothers and sisters handed down to us.

We had to work on those bikes pretty often just to keep them working.

We wrecked those old bikes a time or two.

We climbed trees, .. we fell out of trees, .. we built houses in those trees, and forts below them on the ground, and underground forts below those. Even built forts 6-8 ft up in the air on stilts.

We packed our lunches and hiked through the woods all day.

We slept in sleeping bags out under the stars at night, and raided gardens in the middle of the night.

We scared each other to death in the cemetary in the middle of the night too.

We jumped on trains and rode horses bareback for something to do.

Once a week we would watch the train pull up and unload cattle, horses, pigs, etc at the local stockyard and then they would have an auction for two days.

We could play for hours jumping around in the hay-lofts in a barn over in the cow-field behind our houses.

We made our skateboards from a piece of wood and wheels off of a broken pair of roller skates, ... we wrecked on those skateboards a time or two.

We played sports outside from when the grass was wet in the morning 'till we couldn't see the ball any longer at night, .. and got mad at our parents for calling us in for supper because we missed part of the game.

We got broken bones, stitches, concussions, ... and loved every minute of childhood.

Comic books?? ... never could slow down long enough or had time to look at'em.

:D
