Which trade would you have made?

Roquan Smith if I had to choose one. I love the player but I wouldn’t want a huge contract for an off-ball LB, so I don’t know that I would have. The trade compensation was definitely doable for me though. I like Smith’s demeanor and locker room value as well.

Other than that…. Maybe Claypool but I think a 2nd was too much, so probably not. Also, I’ve heard that he can be a locker room issue. If that is true, then definitely not.

Had not heard that on Claypool, but I also have some issues with the price. I would have gone with a 3 but not a 2, so I wouldn't have gotten him.

I would have been willing to pay a second and fifth for Smith. The biggest issue is only having him under contract for the remainder of the season.

Honestly, there were not very many trades made that interest me. I mean, the Hankins trade actually might have been the best one we could make considering our needs. Now, if Derrick Brown or some other top DL had been traded, I'd probably feel differently.

Zero…

I’d have considered a 2nd for Cooks only if they eat a large chunk of his contract.

I'm on the fence with Roquan for sure. Definitely a "now" move for than a future one, and I don't know how much he moves the needle.

Then, this is not the thread for you. There are plenty of other complaint threads about the trades or lack of them. .
I was merely generalizing....excuse me. There simply cannot be enough negative threads created on here to encapsulate the ineptitude of both Booger and Chuckles the last 25+ years.

Not really sure any of them to be blunt.

Now if we could have gotten another DT maybe....

Hill actually has value.

Ridgeway didn't have any. And likely never will.

That was a great move. Ridgeway is a progress stopper.
Absolute foolish talk. Ridgeway is currently playing as a rotational backup for the Commanders. He's being groomed for the future, something the Cowboys should have done. Ridgeway is currently on an active roster, unlike Trysten Hill. Proves you don't know what you are talking about.

Kadarious Tony for a 3rd and 6th is probably the one I would have been most interested in. But I'd have jumped at Bobby Wagner for 10m per season over Barr this off-season

Looking only at the actual trades that were made, which one(s) would you have pulled the trigger on?

No speculation on players who weren't traded because we have no idea what the asking price was. Just strictly the ones we know were completed, assuming Dallas would have had to pay the same price.
Not one of the trades actually made would have been worth the cost.

I can see if numerous DTs were dealt and we passed but that wasn’t the case.

If we dealt a “2nd plus” for Cooks and paid him a bunch of money after what they did with Cooper it would have been a disaster (but that’s what happens when you count on a 3rd round pick from a small school to make an immediate impact).

Tired of the "what would you have done" question....this isn't just a "today" thing....this is YEARS of being either to cheap or too afraid to do ANYTHING of note in Free Agency. And it isn't our job to answer "what would you have done"....we aren't the Billionaire GM with a full staff of NFL experts...let them figure it the hell out!!!
Well what they have done is built a very good team that is 6 and 2 and you still complain as they win game after game.
