Looking only at the actual trades that were made, which one(s) would you have pulled the trigger on?

No speculation on players who weren't traded because we have no idea what the asking price was. Just strictly the ones we know were completed, assuming Dallas would have had to pay the same price.

I would have pulled the trigger on Roquan Smith. Our 2023 second and fifth rounders are a price that I could stomach and he would be an instant impact player on what may already be the leagues best defense.

Now, you likely have to be willing to sign him to a longterm deal worth $18 mil/ year annual value but that could be swung. He is young enough and productive enough that I just could not see this one backfiring too spectacularly.

Kadarious Tony for a 3rd and 6th is probably the one I would have been most interested in. But I'd have jumped at Bobby Wagner for 10m per season over Barr this off-season

That’s definitely the trade that is most doable for me but doubt Giants would trade with us or if they did they’d likely ask a lot more. Besides that I like the Roquan trade but except we don’t really have the money to pay him long term. Can’t trade a 2 for a one-year rental.

None of the above

we have a good thing going and we’re drafting well, moving on from players after they peak and getting rid of bad contracts

This team is in a great spot and has the personnel to win this year

Screw giving up draft capital unless it’s a great value

We will find out about that in a few months. Worst contract in the books is Zeke.

Yup...agreed...and think back to years past on the worst contract and the value we got from it...while zeke is overpaid he still is very valuable if just to protect Pollard from wear and tear

Hill actually has value.

Ridgeway didn't have any. And likely never will.

That was a great move. Ridgeway is a progress stopper.

Ridgeway was a rookie who never saw any meaningful NFL snaps before you cut him. No one has any idea of what kind of player he’ll develop into. Hill has been on the team for 4 years and has become a middling talent who should have been cut in training camp.

Not that it would've helped this eyar when we need it most, but I would have done the Calvin Ridley deal. He could be a great player and it would only cost a 2nd. Or a good player and only a 4.

Agreed with the Roquan ruage. Would have shored up our biggest deficit. Could see them wanting a bit more from Dallas being in conference

Roquon Smith....but I would have traded LVE to make roster and cap space.
He would have been a luxury for 1 year. No way we could resign him to the contract he wants when his rookie contract ends next year. We have a young LB they think will be special, along with Parsons who may need to be extended soon as well. I'd hate to ship away a high draft pick and then see the guy walk after 1 year.

We have 3 years left on Parsons rookie deal. Certainly by the end of Parsons rookie contract Dak, Zeke, Tank will be gone or redone. Look at the cap in terms of budget by position. Currently we spend very little in the LB dept, too much in the RB dept and so on so forth. We could have signed Roquon to a contract that's heaviest in the next 3 years. Roquon would have instantly improved our run defense.
