Who’s to say that Tolbert or Fehoko, Brown, Vasher or Turbin isn’t the answer?

This is how Jerry Jones and crew can keep a perennially losing franchise so profitable.

We have to suspend reality and act like low draft picks are going to replace a number 1 wr we traded away for a 5th rounder.

Other teams who have actually been in superbowls and winning them have been active in free agency and bringing in talented guys to get better. Meanwhile we are trading away some of our best talent or letting them walk and trying to replace them with guys who fell off of other teams or low round draft picks. This penny pinching formula is likely to see us with a first or second round playoff exit again
Go root for another team then.

My dude. Just because people don’t take what the cowboys brass feed them with a smile doesn’t mean they aren’t fans. Just means they are fed up with 27 years of the same old same old. You can’t build a team completely thru the draft like Stephen thinks you can. You can’t replace amari Cooper with Washington and then say we’re good where we’re at when the guy gets injured.

There’s so much negativity posted here about the WR position and the OL position. It’s like CZ posters actually know what’s going on in practice, in the locker room , in the classroom. This place is flooded with posters who think they know more than the Cowboys scouts, coaches.

Who’s to say that Tolbert or Fehoko, Brown, Vasher or Turbin isn’t the answer?

Who’s to say Biadiaz, Farniok, McGovern, Tyler Smith, Josh Ball, Alarcon aren’t the answer?

The truth is that no one can say 100% on any of this. Every year is a different team. So the haters like P and M and C out there who consistently crap on the QB, and thus the Cowboys, do not know squat. They HOPE that the Cowboys fail so they can blame the QB. But it’s only hope on their part. And that my friends, is sad.

Noah Brown is the only one with real experience and he excels more at special teams than as a WR. What’s concerning is our lack of experience at WR. Heading into the regular season with this many WRs who lack regular season game experience is a recipe for disaster. They brought in James Washington because he had experience.

It took the Cowboys 3 years to figure out Cedrick Wilson could play.
IMIO. they need to let these kids roll in Camp and then if they decide they need a little more vet juice they can get in on the cheap on a guy who will want to showcase his skill.

Job 1 of this offense will be getting CeeDee in that pantheon of elite WR targets.
CeeDee was at 7.5 targets per game last year but they need to get him to 10 this year.
Kupp led the league at 11.2 last year.

That's why he gets to enjoy the game and not whine and cry in his beer everytime Jerry has a press conference, Dak throws a bad pass, Tyler Smith pancakes someone in practice....etc. The more you let things you can't change consume you, you lost the enjoyment. Some fans of any sport or team even complain after wins. Weak division, should have won by 21, Zeke didn't run for 100 yards, blah, blah, blah!
Enjoy the season. @Rockport
I know I will, no matter the outcome.
That’s the outlook to have!

He’s so miserable it must suck to be him so he takes it out on folks behind the safety of his keyboard . Maybe he’s off his meds so we need to cut him some slack, maybe they will net him again.

T.O. obviously doesn't think any of those guys are the answer, since he is offering his services.

I agree. If we canna find one durable, productive WR among these 4 then there is no hope.
Vasher, Turpin, Tolbert, Fehoko in tha order.
(Brown, I hope, can find a home in the CFL. Five years of the N. Brown Experiment is enough, chaps.
Move on!)

I am to say if they were goo, they would have put pressure on Cooper by making plays and playing time last year. Cooper is like Gold and these guys are junk yard scrap metal until they shine.

My take is that if they're not good enough to get to the playoffs without Gallup for the 1st half of the season...
- Then they're unlikely to be good enough with Gallup to win playoff games.

  • 1: We know that with or without Cooper and Cedrick Wilson, that they have to run the ball more effectively than they did in 2021, especially in the playoffs.
    • That is somewhat independent of who plays WR.
    • The value of the running game is not accurately measured in rushing yards.
    • Two offenses can have 100 yards vs a specific defense...
    • However,
  • 2: Schultz is also a key part of the passing offense. They still have CeeDee and Schultz.
  • 3. They do have some experience in terms of other receiving options.
    • Brown has a lot of experience. He knows the offense and his assignments.
      • His route tree might always be limited (maybe not a good option on jump balls and deep passes) but he has can definitely function as a 3rd WRs.
    • Tony Pollard was likely going to get increased opportunities as a receiver even if Cooper stayed and Gallup was healthy.
      • It was overwhelmingly obvious that he was the most dynamic athlete on the offense in 2021.
    • TE McKeon was coming on last season until he missed a game with an injury issue and then his snaps were limited afterwards.
    • McKeon appears to be very similar to Schultz as a receiver.
    • Kellen Moore likes 2 TE sets when they've both good receiving options.
      • He schemed a lot of plays when both Schultz and Jarwin were together.
  • OLine
    • Biadasz was good enough to get them to the playoff last season.
    • Tyler Smith has already shown that he can physically overpower NFL DLinemen in training camp.
      • He might have issues with consistency, but physically Tyler vs Connor Williams is like prime Randy Moss vs Cole Beasley.

Offense, offense, offense.

You guys should like Jerry Jones. The GM most don't like because he has done nothing in the salary cap era,...yeah him. Let's get better on offense. Let's bring in the best WR's money can offer. Offense, offense, offense....yet you want to complain that we haven't been to the CFCCG in 27 years.

You know why we haven't been to the CFCCG in 27 years, because our GM loves him some offense. He keeps spending 70% of the cap on offense and we keep losing early in the playoffs. Doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results. That's crazy.

Why spend time thinking about the Cowboys and potential barriers to their success?

We should all spend our time focusing on rainbows and unicorns.

This time last year Ced Wilson had a career high of 189 yards receiving. Not in a game, in a season.
Dallas is bringing back Simi Fehoko and TJ Vasher who both have that same type collegiate career into developmental WR arc.

End of day WR is easiest spot to fill with a replacement level depth guy. Dallas will be fine at WR provided CeeDee is healthy.
The top 2 in targets will 100% be CeeDee then Dalton.
Fans are just not very smart and easily led astray by also not very smart folks with a platform.
It's Stephen A Smith level white noise.

No one thought much of Miles Austin until he blew up and started balling. Same with Doug Free. And more recently Steele. I mean seriously who thought Steele would be good in 21 after the 20 season. Every season is different and we have no idea who will rise to the occasion or who will not play so well. So I'm glad the FO isn't panicking and trading draft capital for a receiver. Vasher, Simi, Tolbert could all elevate their game and we'll be fine.

Plus, the longer we wait, the cheaper they become.

Demand dictates the price.
