Who could we get as an offensive coordinator?

I doubt there's any chance that Jason Garrett gets another HC job offer, but what if. Who could we get to replace him? I don't think anyone on our current offensive staff is really OC material.

If I were a potential OC out there, I'd be licking my chops at taking the reigns on this offense.

Not many on this forum would have done worse. I'll take it for a few hundred thou....

Norv.

It's SB or bust for him.

Good point. But does Wade have any relationship with him? I think at this point, Jerry would let Wade bring in who he wants.

Ugh...I'd pass on that one.

No kidding, we already look like the fun-n-gun with the constant shotgun formations and cutesy passes on inches-to-go downs.

Jerry would what?:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao2:

David Lee.

Good friend of Romo. Kept him grounded when he was here as QB Coach. Knows the offense.

I wish, but I looked it up and he signed a three year contract. :(

I've been racking my brain on this. I don't know much about the coordinators of the guys who've already gotten fired. Wasn't Chudzinski a whiz-bang guy whose stock crashed, much like Garrett?

Bring him as QB coach if possible. Wilson sure isn't doing squat.

We need a veteran OC that can adapt and that sure as heck isn't Martz.

Sadly, you'll probably see someone internally merely promoted. I sadly because I don't know if anyone here is qualified (Sherman might be? dunno) and I'm not convinced a legitimate search would ensue.

i think wade would try to go after dan reeves or shotheimer, however you spell his name, most likely shotheimer

Sherman is who they said would've probably gotten it if Garrett had left last year... IIRC he was an OC at Green Bay for a year. (And not very good.)

True, but he's only QB coach in Miami and the OC position would be a promotion, so he's fair game.

No it isnt, there's no way SD is firing Norv after back to back playoff seasons, especially considering what he's done with Rivers.

Martz is by far and away the best guy on the market.

Don't know how people can scoff at a guy who was responsible for the Rams' offenses from 99-01, then went to Detroit and turned Jon Kitna into a back-to-back 4,000 yard, 7+ yards/attempt QB...then went to SF and had their offensive output shoot up so much they're probably being investigated for steroids.

Who cares, they would only be holding down the spot till Holmgren gets here.
