Who could we get as an offensive coordinator?

The Commanders had Al Saunders and I bet their fans would be the first to tell you that he ain't all that great. Then again, that offense had Gibbs all over it and not exactly the best QB behind center. Who knows.

I'd prefer a WCO guy in here though which is why I want Holmgren. That ain't happening this next year, so I'd probably be open to any change or adjustment on that side of the ball for now.

I do like the fact that the West Coast Offense gets the ball out faster, and Felix Jones would kill teams in that offense by catching the ball. The WRs need the RAC yardage. Garrett got that out of Owens last year. Where did those plays go?

Felix Jones could put a stop to the Eagles and Giants crowding the middle and blitzing up the gut. He would stop that real fast. He could do that in Garrett's offense.

those plays don't belong in a vertical, passing offense

Garrett's system effects everything, from the QB on down to the Olinemen

and not in a positive way, we need a Wade Phillips-type offensive coordinator, someone who fits his O to his player's strengths

maybe that's Ray Sherman

That offense he had in Kansas City was really good. That ground game was lethal. Remember the 2005 Chiefs game at Dallas. They had Eddie Kennison and Gonzalez and Larry Johnson. That offensive line was great.

Collins spent several years studying that offense. When they put him in there, he produced. They made the playoffs.

Saunders has experience coaching in this division. He would jump all over this OC job. The talent is there, in spades.

Bob,

What about last year's @Chicago and @ Philadelphia games? Romo hit Owens on the move with shorter passes and killed blitzes. Owens caught balls in stride and killed teams running after the catch. The 2006 Carolina game, under Parcells, was another game like that.

The answer is Brian Billick. too many head spots open, but this is a great opportunity for him. If Wade gets in hot water on the def side he can step into the HC job. If BB can make the Ravens win a SB with those guys, imagine what we could do? He also has the skin/age to deal with grumpy playmakers. Could also sway R. Lewis(free agent) to come in, and only boost our defense. Ray would also be a leader in the locker room!

I don't know why it's so hard that Garrett couldn't incorporate some of those plays

set Ds up, kill them short with the passing and running game, and then go deep with play-actions

I agree. If things don't change, Romo is going to get killed. He will not last. He's lucky the Eagles didn't really hurt him. I would have taken Romo out of that game sooner.

How about McQuistan at guard? LOL It's a little late.
