I know that this has been brought up plenty of times but, being that some of you guys are calling for Tuna's head. I would like to know who you think should be next.

There have been plenty of names that crossed my head:

Charlie Weis(untouchable and at ND "for life"), Jeff Fisher(good coach), Jack Del Rio(is on the verge of becoming a great one), Herm Edwards(have always thought he had something special as a head coach), Marv Lewis(I don't see the bengals letting him go anytime soon).

I still think Tuna will coach this season and next. There should be one big name that has gone "under the radar" that should be ready by that time.......

MIKE SINGLETARY

what do ya think?

I'm hoping Bill hangs around for a while. If the offense absolutely takes off, or if the defense does, I would imagine that one of the coordinators would get a strong look.

No hope of that happening with Payton and Zimmer calling the shots

BP will be here for awhile and I hope he is. I like what he's doing, it takes time. If we had to replace him though, I like Art Shell.... He's well respected, very discipline, knows the game particularly oline play, and you can bet he's gonna go downfield with the ball.. He also did nothing but WIN with the Raiders.....

Hasn't he already failed twice at the NFL level?

"Any one of 500 coaches could take this team to the Super Bowl." Jerruh.

As for current NFL coaches: Del Rio, Fisher, & Billick are the only ones I'd want outside of the untouchables like Belichick, Reid, or Fox. I'd take Holmgren in a tight pinch.

College wise: Any Stoops (though the luster is off of Bob for me), Jim Trestle, Weis (forget it), Kirk Ferentz, Houston Nutt (maybe), and many more that aren't coming to mind right now or Chan Gailey :)

I don't think Parcells is going anywhere. I think we will end up having a decent season this year. We might just miss the playoffs, but I still think Parcells will stay at least through the end of next season.

That will allow the offensive line a while to gel, it will allow him to bring in some more linebackers, it will allow him to bring in a better FS, a better kicker and possibly an upgrade at some other spots.

After that time I think Jerry Jones will take Parcells' advice and select the next head coach based on what he says. I don't think Weiss will leave ND, so he is out. I don't think that right now Parcells has a great deal of trust for Payton. He does seem to like Zimmer (and man, I'd like to see the fireworks in here if he ever got the head coaching job).

But I really don't know who Parcells would recommend. It's to early to determine who might be available two years from now.

Weis, the game hasn't passed him by yet...
He may love ND, but the DC job is the pinnacle of jobs at the next level.

I'm not sold that the Stoops would have a lot of success in the NFL. They learned under Spurrier and Spurrier tanked in the pros. Their collegiate success is predicated upon their ability to motivate college kids. As Spurrier found out, pros are a different ball of wax.
Holtz is done. Carroll has had his two shots at the pros, didn't work out.
I think Ferentz or Tressel could have success in the pros.
Saban is showing how much difference a coach can make in Miami. Wandstadt is looking more and more like a jackarse.

I wont even humor this question with an answer.

You guys really disappoint me.

So he's not perfect.
It doesn't much better than Bill Parcells.
