I'm not sold that the Stoops would have a lot of success in the NFL. They learned under Spurrier and Spurrier tanked in the pros. Their collegiate success is predicated upon their ability to motivate college kids. As Spurrier found out, pros are a different ball of wax.
Holtz is done. Carroll has had his two shots at the pros, didn't work out.
I think Ferentz or Tressel could have success in the pros.
Saban is showing how much difference a coach can make in Miami. Wandstadt is looking more and more like a jackarse.

However that does include taking the reins at three bottom dwelling, 2-5win/season clubs. It's easy to pad your stats, especially in the pre-cap yrs, by building a team and then having 'tenure'.
