Who else is absolutely sick of the negativity?

What I find comical about these Negative Zombies is that they all use the phrase "I am just being Objective" when describing themselves ......

They obviously do not understand what that word means since they do not see both sides of any issue ..... They only see bad things about the team.

Troy Aikman is "Objective" ...... most of the Clowns on here are just trying to see who can say "I told you so" first.

that's the one that cracks me up. it's as if they're the ONLY ONES TRYING to even be objective and for all others, it's out of their reach.

I saw the team play great for the better part of 12 weeks and then struggle down the stretch. That's being "objective", unlike you who tries to ignore the truth when it's negative and only play up the good parts.

it's even more funny people will take 1 word and blow it all out of proportion. being a 'homer' doesn't mean you can't sit around and realize we have problem w/o cussing, screaming, picking on any player who's popular to pick on now....

having a strong opinion doesn't make someone objective. putting how you feel aside and looking at the overall issue w/o emotion is a step closer. so if you're putting down being a homer for a bit, you can be objective. well, as objective as someone can be.

being a homer is not the same as being blind. but if you need it to be so you're safe from 'disappointment' - have at it.

And not that I agree with them, but if you're an analyst and you see our last few weeks of football, you're going to say we're not as strong as we were earlier in the season.

I have my homer glasses on and believe we'll be fine, but if you're taking a purely black and white approach to it, we don't look like a dominant team going into the playoffs.

Proud to be a minority with you Mick. I think the only media guy who truly annoys me is Berman. I am sick of the "whoop, and then whoop!" and the "Raiduuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhs!!!!!" That has nothing to do with the Cowboys.

Anyone else is saying what they think. So is Berman, it's just annoying. I see nothing requiring any of them to think we're the best team in the NFL.

I suppose I'm a little put off by Bayless but that is all schtick. It's completely rehearsed for effect.

there are a few exceptions like bayless who thrive and make a living off intentionally pissing off people who seem to love to be pissed, but that's a symbiotic thing.

I can't beleive that we're 13-3 with HFA throughout the conference, had the best year in 10 years, and seemingly 90% of the vibe around this team is negative.

We're doomed because Ireland is gone.

We're doomed because we lost to the Skins in a game we didn't try to win.

We're doomed because we didn't win every game in December by 14 points.

We're doomed because we already know the next four years of drafts will suck.

We're doomed because Wade has never won a playoff game.

And on and on and on.


Meanwhile, the local media are, for the most part, killing this team. I'm listening to Galloway and Engel today, and Galloway insists we did have a December collapse just like last year and that Wade is a "big doofus". Hate is giggling away at Bill taking so many of our personnel and Jerry screwing things up. Both agree that if Wade doesn't win a playoff game, he should be and will be fired.

It's insanity. I'm no pollyanna, and have criticized the team plenty of times during bad or disappointing years. But this year has been great, and there still seems to be as much negativity as when we were 5-11 and fighting over Carter and Hutchinson.

Can anyone explain this? I truly don't understand it. If this is what it's like during a 13-3 year that exceeds all expectations, what's there to look forward to in a year that's merely good?

I have not traveled as much as most people on this board but I gurantee you every fan in every city thinks there is huge bias against their team.

Also, yes there are members of the media that "annoy" me but it does not bother me.

Bayless, Wilbon, Cowturd and many more to name a few, but does it bother me, nope.

Collin Cowturd has spent most of his show rejoicing that the Cowboys have lost Ireland and maybe even Sparano as he is a huge Parcells fan.

I could care less. I will say this again, this is not the BCS Championship, if the Cowboys are truly as great as people think they will get their opportunity to prove it.

Like a very notorious member of Cowboyszone.com always likes to say, "EMBRACE THE HATE", whether it is real or perceived : .

I suspect several people will read the title of the thread, skip your post because they are offended and chime in.

I mind the negativity after wins. After a loss I sort of understand. I couldn't agree more about this year versus the last 10 years, but I'll also admit that I am greedy. I want more, and at the same time I don't expect more.

I don't see this team as on par with the 1992 and 93 teams. To me it's more like the 1991 team that was building towards those teams. That doesn't mean I'll be all right if we lose in the post season and fall short of my hopes and goals.

I try not to be too positive or too negative. I just want to enjoy the ride. This year I can't understand why people aren't enjoying the ride, but I guess some just need to either be miserable themselves or do what they can to make others around them miserable. I envy those who can use the ignore function. I scratch my head that so many don't. I can't, but believe me I would. When I planned to step down that was what I was looking forward to the most.
For me this year in order to drown out the whining I have had to dig deeper into the History of the Cowboys than I ever have. It was fun. A couple of days after the game I get back into posting again and can even stomach most of the negativity. Some of it is warranted. Some of it is just people who enjoy being a pain in the buns.

Like I said, after a win it bothers me. Not so much after a loss, but I have learned which threads to avoid unless I'm looking for a good scrap. The History research is the most fun. My own personal ignore function.

The main reason people are not enjoying the ride is because of the Patriots. Everything the Cowboys have don this year and what TO has done and what Romo has done gets compared by everyone to the Patriots and people don't like the fact that we are not getting the pub that the Patriots do.

I know that it has effected my enjoyment of the ride to some degree.

Oh, I agree and there is nothing wrong with it at all. But people, as you can see by many post on this board hate it when all the ESPN's of the world only talk about them and how great there are.

It does get old, as if no one else has a chance.

That is the main reason that I want the Patriots to lose before the Super Bowl. Whether it be us or Green Bay that would make it to the Superbowl, for two weeks all we are going to hear about is the Patriots shot at Perfection. I will probably not watch much NFL Network or ESPN for that whole 2 weeks because of it and that will effect my enjoyment of the ride per se.
