We dont need a number one posession reciever, we need a number one game breaking type receiver. Other teams do not fear any of Dallas receviers. Thereby shrinking the field for opposing defenses and not creating appropriate spacing for the offense. Spencer has been a monumental disapointment. For a guy who is unblockable during practice, he is very blockable during games. A number one pass rusher needs to more than play the run.

My expectation for Roy Williams going into the year was like 800 or 900 yards. It's going to be hard for him to disappoint, but at this rate it's very possible.

Spencer is just not an edge rusher. He doesn't have that extra gear or the moves.

Go back and watch how active Spencer is.

Nobody is getting sacks. I repeat that, nobody.

But Spencer is there just as much as anyone applying pressure.

So if you go back and watch that game and still think he is a "bust" then you don't know what the hell you are watching.

Spencer made some great plays tonight. Just not as a pass-rusher.

We have a game changing big play WR..oh wait...for some reason he was cut? Nice to see our passing offense sputtering against a good defense. Not that I expected more with No Sho' Romo on the field. The bum already thinks it December

TO wouldn't have changed a damn thing.

We were getting awful QB play. Absolutely awful. There is no way you can blame the receivers.

Roy had a good game last week.

Now he has one catch on a day were the passing game worked for no one (because the running game racked up 251 yards and Romo was inaccurate)

This means Roy is a bust?

Yeah right.

spencer made plays tonight but was not good rushing the pass rusher

this is one of the main reason why i wanted greg ellis to stay but i was in the minority obviously.

so enjoy i dont wanna hear any complaints about the pass rush. yall asked for it you got it.

you wanted big mouth gone even though he was never a locker room problem and his teammates liked him. just caused he moaned about his role every season possibly being reduced etc. so what. he was wasnt lights out last yr but he was solid and every one knows you can never have enough pass rushers

ellis was a steal for the money we were paying him and the production we got. find someone with his numbers and that salary

he sure looked good for the raiders the past 2 games. ahh well lets hope spencer proves he can rush more effectively in the coming weeks.

i pray to god he does for the sake of this team

If we're going by weeks 1 and 2 for Spencer then we would also have to say Ware is a bust as well cause he's made just as many plays as Ware has this season, actually Spencer has been slightly better then Ware so far this season

I can't rip Spencer he was all over the place tonight... Ware needs to step his game up.

I'll reserve my comments regarding Roy Williams for after the 2009 season.

roy like felix was suffering badly from cramping.

he had to go in and get an iv in the locker room at the end of the third quarter.

I like it is nuts to call spencer or roy busts.

can't catch pass unless the ball is thrown to him.

Anthony Spencer had a heck of a game tonight. I was very criticial of him last year for his performance against the run, especially in the Baltimore game. I was still skeptical during this pre-season because he hadn't shown much. But tonight he was terrific against the run. He made some serious big time plays that showed what the front office saw in him. My favorite one was where he simply blew up TWO pulling blockers on a sweep and still tracked Jacobs down and made the tackle.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with either of this guys.

we gave way to much for an avg reciever -

he is nothing special - never has never will be - last week he was lucky that guy did not ankle tackle him

I see us drafting a WR first

IMO

Spencer played a good game tonight

then get a coach that can teach these kids ie men to tackle

say good bye to Wade an Campo an Juraszek an W Wilson

I never had any expectations of Spencer and still don't.

Roy on the other hand, will bounce back. I expect him to have over 1000 by years end.

Spencer was close all night, he will be fine. Roy will be fine if Tony can actually look his way once in a while.
