Show me Austin can consistently beat the the jam and get open. Show me he won't disappear like he did the in the last three games of the season where he has a total of one catch for 23-yards.

He was our fourth wideout. Our second WR, the coachable Roy Williams, had six catches for a grand total of 21 yards. He also could have had a bomb TD in the Ravens game had Romo put it on the money. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt as our whole offense wasn't in synch those three games.

He has to beat out Crayton first before he starts racking up the 1000 yard seasons some are forecasting though.

:lmao: They would be down if they didn't have the best player in the NBA. I guess we can take away all those game winning shots by Jordan with that logic? There's a reason why he hit that shot. There's a reason why they will win tommorrow. Z,Mo,Delante and LeBron have YET to play well in one game together. When they hit on all cylinders no one can touch them. The rust is off..LOOK OUT!

Please dont put Magic and LeBron in the same sentence, it just dont belong.

I hope so, just to keep the defenses honest. If Austin can get 500, and RW get a 1000, we can go pretty far.

If Miles is the number 2, 500 will not cut it. If Crayton gets 700 and he gets 500, then okay.

You all couldnt match up with us in the regular season and for sure havent in the playoffs. Too big and too much for the Cavs. Z is too slow for Howard, Lewis and Turk are too much for little ol West or whoever you want to throw on them. Putting Lebron on Alston in game 1 was the most stupidest thing the Cavs could of done, that left Lewis and Turk with Mo Williams, West, or Vareflop to play around with.

But can someone please tell me *** this is? Triple Flop! Guess thats how they play ball in Cleveland.

Speaking of Magic and LeBron and not belonging, this doesn't belong in this thread.

I look at Miles and think He's our Number 1 reciever. Row Williams is a #2, a good second option. Get him some looks in the redzone and jump balls. Our offense will go as far as our running game takes us.

I didn't mention Crayton, or Witten, that's because I think they're gonna get theirs regardless.

There is always an excuse for this guy.

So if he was our fourth choice. Then how will he transition to our #2 when facing stiffer cornerback competition?

Sorry, show me. That is my mantra for all of these guys. Don't pee down my back and tell me it's raining.

Show me the rain, Miles!

There's an excuse for every underachiever on this roster. We've got around 45 or so of them. Take your pick.

I don't know. How would anyone ever win a job after vaulting from backup status? Either he adjusts or he doesn't. Either way, its his job to prove he can do it. Sounds like you are simply writing him off because you don't have faith in him.

And most people are in that same prove it mode. This whole team has a bunch of players who need to show me. He's one of them.

If he's Terry Glenn (with size), I'll take that all day. That would make him a great complement to Roy.
If Austin is Glenn with size, then Roy will be a good compliment for Austin.

One he will be running routs that will be the 2nd option for the QB it is hard when you are a 3rd or 4th option on a rout and the QB hardley has the time to find his 2nd option. Having said that Austin has not proven anything as of yet but will have a chance to prove it and that is all a player can ask for is the oppertunity to prove it. I do think it is a bit silly for people to claim what type of numbers he will put up at this stage it is an unknown

He's gonna have to work on those hands to be a terry glenn, but I know what you're saying if he can just stretch the field and keep defenses spread out to help our running game we'll be that much better

he doesn't have nearly Glenn's quicks, or burst

Alvin Harper with those '90s teams would probably be his best bet

I dont know that he's ever going to be in Terry Glenn's world. He will be an asset to us due to his ability to stretch the field, but he will at BEST always be a third option in our offense.

I would say he's going to be our Alvin Harper. Just remember Harper never caught more than 40 balls for us. But he did have an incredible YPC average.

That's fine though. With Witten and Williams being the main options, Romo can still get the ball to Crayton, Austin, Bennett, and Felix Jones.

Thoguh it's tough to say you got better by releasing a player like Owens, I think we are definately more balanced.

Can we please confine the freaking basketball discussion to the off-topic zone?

But LeBron and the Cavs are just so legit...how could you NOT talk about them.

That trash is up 2-1 on your team, and could've easily been up 3-0.

The refs are doing everything in their power to have Queen James in the finals, and they still are behind.

This is not to downplay what Lebron is doing in the series, because its amazing. He is doing everything, but its not enough. And I was so happy to see him choke in game 3. It proves why he is not Kobe.

Nobody on here, and I mean NOBODY, has watched Austin more than I have. I watched him every single home game in college (I live 2 minutes from the field), and laughed when he went undrafted. He is extraodinary, he attracted double-teams and met them with a smile, a swim move, and a touchdown. I'm SO excited to see him finally get his chance at something special.
