Dude its a market. Ticket prices rise because the stadium keeps selling out. Salaries are going up because of coporate endorsements, ticket sales and TV contracts becoming more and more lucrative.
If people wouldn't pay those prices then they wouldn't raise them and its as simple as that. Thats not a breaking point but rhater what the market will bear.
Welcome to capitalism.
dude. i get that.
and sooner or later they will gamble the average family is ready to pay $600+ for 4 seats, a few hot dogs, a shirt and big finger and maybe a few beers.
sooner or later they'll go beyond what people are ready to pay, or can pay.
tv will only be lucrative if they can sell the advertising for it. advertising will pay you for how many people they hit. when that hits a peak, then what? player x will still want more than player y because they're just better.
if you think the prices can keep going up and up and up w/o losing people along the way, great. you may be right.
i don't think so. don't take this to mean it will happen tomorrow - this could be 5+ years out or longer, easily.
again - see hockey for a sport that got too greedy for what the market will bear. it can happen and they're doing it now.
