If there is a good Kicker in the 06 draft I would rather go that way then go with Vanderjagt.

Vanderjagt=CHOKER!!

...kickers come out of college and become consistent performers in their first season. Even the two best right now had detours to NFLE and the CFL.

It's the mental adjustment that gets these young kids all boggled down. They have the legs, they just need to get their heads on straight.

Anyone who doesn't want Vanderjagt has obviously never seen a single Cowboy game this season.
Find me someone other than Vinateri you would rather have.....just one. Anyone can miss a FG, so what? Does this mean you would rather not have Peyton Manning should he become a FA??
The guy was perfect at home, had the Cowboys had a perfect kicker at home they would be a playoff team.

No joke, I called the miss. I just knew he was going to miss it. In fact, I have seen him miss other big ones like that too. However, you'd be delusional to think that you could get someone better here.

If Vanderjagt, Vinatieri, or Longwell want to come here, I'll gladly welcome them.

Damn right I still want Vanderjagt.

This miss was actually good for us. He'll probably become the scapegoat in Indy and won't be wanted back

Forget it. All he proved is when the big game comes down to him he will choke.
As opposed to our kicker who proved that when any game comes down to him he will choke.

I didn't know he'd miss, but I told my son before the kick, "Now watch him miss it."

It's just like the 1998 Vikings, when Gary Anderson made every single field-goal attempt that season ... except the last one, a simple 38-yarder that would have put them in the Super Bowl.

I'd take him, but I'd also take someone cheaper like Joe Nedney who was 28-30 last year too.

If you bring in a kicker like that and he misses the kick that you brought him in for then you might as well bring back Cortez.

No. I would not want Peyton.

It is the only miss all year and you don't want him? I'll take him every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Manning lost the game not the K. Manning had 31 seconds left with 3 timeouts and on the 30. He needed two yards for a first down. He was more interested in adding a td to his resume than winning the game. The last two timeouts were used when the Steelers had the ball with 11 seconds remaining in the game.
Horrible game management.
