I don't think Roy Williams is in the same league as Polamalu. Maybe at one time, but not anymore. Offenses know where each player is. One because they fear his ability to disrupt, and the other so they can target him.
Teams look to target Troy as well. He's better in coverage than Roy, but he still isn't very good. Pittsburgh does a much better job of not putting their strong safety in one on one situations.

if anyone honestly is going to say Roy, then you are all ridiculous.

you ALL want his head after every game he plays, yet when another fan of a different team puts Roy below another SS people here jump.

What is it people? Do you think Roy is a good SS or no?

Be honest.

Get off of your soapbox. Only a small minority of posters actually picked RW. Most posts that I've read said that they would take Troy, but that Troy was seriously overrated.

Polamalu had one great playoffs and has just been above average the rest of the time.. for all the crap that Roy gets for being overrated, Troy has to be the most overrated safety i've ever seen.. if it weren't for that playoffs and that hair, he'd be considered an average safety.. seriously, you guys think he's a great tackler and great in coverage?? i've seen him blow more plays than any Cowboys safety, both in coverage and in missed tackles.. i don't get the love for this guy..

i take Roy easily..

People are starting to see the value of RW38. He helps out A LOT in the running game.

Troy P......vastly over rated. Everytime I watch him he is getting smoked. If he was here in Dallas you guys would be moaning and groaning even more than you do about RW38

as do i about you

That's a load from a newer member than me by two years and a non-zone supporter. Personal attacks are a weak substitution for and a counterview or argument.

If you've been a Steelers/Cowboys fan your whole life I suggest either you are very young or not really into football.

Lol, good analysis

I'd take RW troy is overrated hype and RW is bashed for a lot of stuff that Sanders and Troy don't get bashed for so it throws off peoples perception.
