Fisher is a idiot but if that's true it would explain a lot. He's a idiot but I surely won't discredit what he's saying. If that's true this team has bigger issues then I thought. It doesn't even make sense why wouldn't they get in their players face? Jimmy did it....hell Campo would even do it.
I'd hate to beat a dead horse but I think it goes back to they don't want to shatter Daks confidence.

But why though? When has Dak ever shown he's mentally weak? His first year in the league he had to play over his head to fend off a franchise QB...it was never easy for him so why now they want to coddle him? It doesn't make sense to me and if they are coddling him it sure as hell isn't working.

Lot of media out there pointing out that teams have caught on to Daks tendencies to read the defense and react according to how the Tex Coast offense is designed. Green Bay simply schemed to confuse his reads knowing this, MM refuses to mix things up or adjust and you get what we saw.

Not trying to completely absolve Dak, but he is playing within the scheme as designed.

I am sure MM wants to call different plays . But when you QB is dumb as rocks, you can only call what he can do , which isnt much . Dak is one of the greatest chokers in playoff history . These are the facts

Jerry neuters the coaches and coddles the players.

Scouting report says:
INCONSISTENT ACCURACY!!
That means he can make 2 nice passes, 1 catchable pass, one that sails high, and one that goes for a pick six.

THE PROBLEM?
Add a little pressure and you don't know which you'll get.

How many times did you see a easy TD pass sail 5 yards beyond a wide open receiver? THIS YEAR ALONE!

You give Dak time and vision and Dak can be deadly.

But if you give ANY QB time and vision and you get the same results.

What separates a great or solid NFL quarterback from the other 100s is the ability to perform without time and/or vision.
In other words, when you drop back and plant, and your 1st read has 1/2 a step, you have to make that throw, you cannot try to wait for more separation.

That's why 95% of college QBs cannot make it in the NFL.
And why Dak struggles.

Jimmy never got in Aikman's face. Not even during the first 3 seasons when Aikman was terrible.

I wasn't saying specifically his face but he got in guys face regardless of what side of the ball they were on. He coddled his superstars. Its documented. By the time Aikman was 30 he didn't need to get in his face .

Jimmy was way long gone by the time Aikman turned 30. lol. But, you're right, Jimmy admitted to coddling his favorites. Jimmy would not have gotten in Dak's face for the same reason. Insinuating that's what Dak needs is ridiculous. You pull that crap to your starting QB, guaranteed you will lose him and your job. Period. It doesn't matter what team.

Is it the OC/the head coach/QB coach? These year after year struggles obviously aren't being addressed. Sure he's the face of this team, but still he's not above being coached up. At year 8 this shouldn't be an issue. I think this summer instead of having players over to get timing down etc, he needs to lock in and focus on the SMALL things that he needs to work on, please give your thoughts.
I think it's been Rowdy working with Dak. They both get that goofy look out on the field.

I know he was gone but my point is you said he didn't coddle Aikman...Aikman was a young man at the time. He won rings as a young man. So he was never going to have to get in his face. Dak is chasing what Aikman already had.

i've seen Bellicheat get in Brady's ***. To me when you are willing to do it to anyone it shows the stakes. Dak needs it more then anyone because he looks dazed in confused when he throws a pick and he has the deer in headlights look. He's zoned out. Dak hasn't done enough to not warrant this type of coaching.

I'll just say this.

I watched a documentary on the Bary Switzer cowboys and I remember seeing Aikman literally fuming and cursing teammates out. I also remember Aikman getting mad because Switzer was too soft on the team.

I also watch this teams culture and the mouth piece Dak Prescott talking about how they're all friends and don't talk bad about each other... In other words, the exact opposite. If Dak wasn't soft, he would despise Mike McCarthy like most fans on here do but not only does he not despise him, he sticks up for him

Zoned out? Go watch some breakdowns by Kurt Warner. This coaching staff and their 3 years straight refusal to improve their passing schemes and routes is what has badly affected this Offense. They continue to set up their QB and WRs for failure.

Ok well that's different this ain't the 80's or 90's anymore lol. Dak came into this league with Garrett as his head coach. Maybe if he came in with Bellicheat it would've been different. But the 2024 athlete isn't gonna do all that fake rah rah tough guy stuff. That's why Pats fired Bellicheat. His team wasn't responding to it. Its why these guys like Nick Siranni and why he's gonna get fired as well. These head coaches now are friends. Hell McVey is damn near the same age as his players. They're all buddies and friends.
