Who is our #3 receiver now?

I disagree - Austin was pushing Hurd for #3 in preseason.

Austin has made more big plays in the receiving game than Hurd despite playing about 90% less reps. He is just a much better player than Hurd and we certainly don't owe Hurd the loyalty you are suggesting. Open your eyes - Hurd can't get separation and will not amount to anything other than a ST player and #4/5 WR.

He was pushing Hurd, but hadn't replaced him. Both players will play and get their touches. Both are good WRs. Hurd's a very good player and would be a legit #3 on a lot of teams. The difference right now is that the two have very different styles and Austin's strengths are a better complement to the other players we have our there right now. I bet its nearly a 50/50 split in terms of snaps with Austin perhaps getting a few more looks from Romo.

Can anyone remember Austin dropping one? I can't ...

Hurd has some drops, none too conspicuous though when it counted ... some good catches mixed in ...

Crayton has some magnificent catches but has maybe more than his share of f-ups ...

OT, Stanback didn't play receiver in HS (maybe he caught a few on trick plays ..) ... He caught 10 passes in college. He caught two out-routes against Cleveland two weeks ago ... that's his total playing WR. IMHO he seems to lose speed making his cuts, not good for a NFL wideout .... a small sample I've seen though ..... Stanback's a great athlete but he's kinda like if Barber played WR, a bulldog RB-type playing WR when you need greyhounds playing WR .. I just kinda doubt Stanback can ever get open against quick DBs ... Think of all the great college WRs with enormous production that never made it in the NFL because they couldn't quite translate their speed to quick cuts/getting open .. We don't have any idea if Stanback has good hands, is consistent running routes, can get open in space, etc. etc. .. nice return guy though I hope...

Some people are just here to argue, just say the guy is right so we can move on.

Its Miles...who is going to become 2b pretty quick if he plays many more games like he did last night.

whats jigga doing in GB?

Wow. I posted this thread before going to bed. I had no idea it would be four pages long when I got up.

today? It is Miles.....but, who knows.....we are loaded......it just might be Crayton

Right now Hurd will be 4 or even 5th until he proves he's healthy. As for Austin let's see him back up his one good game before we promote him. Hopefully he's not the next Jason Tucker.....one great game then nada.

I don't care who it is I expect guys like Austin, Hurd or Stanback to get playing time and when they are in the game I expect them to produce.
