Just curious how many full North Dakota games you have watched this year? My guess on the over under is 10 plays.
I've seen 16 games of his.
Wentz is a legit prospect.

A first round pick with good preseason preparation should be able to do ok starting. Plenty have done it in recent years. Yes there is a learning curve, but they're generally better than a JAG career backup. I think drafting a first rounder is Romos best chance to get a ring before he retires.

With Gabbert going bust JAX needed a "starting" QB which is why they took Bortles at #3 overall. The Cowboys aren't looking for a starting QB they're looking for a backup and you don't look for backups at any position in the top 5 of the draft.
I think people wanting the QB taken care of this offseason (Myself included) are going to be horribly disappointed.
I have resigned myself to the thought that Jerry is probably going to sign JF or RGIII and then they'll go elsewhere in the draft.
I just have a feeling that's what's going to happen.

Sorry tell all but like him or not Jerry is going to do whatever needed to get Manziel. It would be foolish to think that's not going to happen.

They are fooling themselves if they think that they only need a backup QB. With Romo's health issues, they need to draft the future starter that can fill in as a backup for a couple years and then become the starting QB. You don't get a future starting QB by drafting one of the scrubs after the first couple of rounds. To have the chance at getting the future starter is well worth a top pick. A sure way to failure is to draft a QB in the mid to late rounds with the intention of him developing into a starter. It just doesn't happen often enough to gamble at the QB position. If the scouts see the future QB in this draft, they better use their top pick to get him.
I've been saying all along the Cowboys can trade down and draft a QB later in the first round or in the second round. There's been a lot of excellent starting QBs that were taken after the top 10 picks. I can give you an entire list of QBs who ended up being better NFL QBs than QBs that were taken ahead of them. Just 2 years ago Manziel was taken ahead of Bridgwater and Carr who are developing into solid NFL QBs. Jerry almost made the mistake of drafting Manziel when he could have had a solid backup and a future starter in Bridgewater or Carr. Several QBs were taken ahead of Tom Brady and two QBs were taken ahead of Brett Favre. There were 3 QBs taken ahead of Dan Marino who lasted until the second to last pick of the first round. Todd Blackledge who went bust was taken ahead of Jim Kelly and Marino.
Alex Smith was drafted 24 picks of Aaron Rodgers. The first QB off the board doesn't mean they'll end up being the best QB. With Romo still playing at a very high level we have time to find a QB and we certainly don't need to be taking one with the 4th overall pick who's going to sit for several seasons risking the chance they could go stale. A top college QB needs practice reps and some game reps to develop which they won't get playing behind Romo. These QBs need to PLAY! All these young QBs who are having success in the league such as Cam Newton, Russell Wilson, Bridgewater and Carr started as rookies. Andy Dalton and Matt Ryan started as rookies they need to PLAY and gain experience not stand on the sidelines for several seasons.
Actually, KJ, there were FIVE QBs taken ahead of Marino. Kind of amazing.

I have a feeling Garrett and company are going to fall in love with Wentz in a few weeks.
Wentz is so big he looks like a man among boys
He might actually be too big, as most quarterbacks that size or taller have never amounted to anything. Although Peyton is alternately listed as 6'5 or 6'6", so that's something.
