Well we went 5-11 three out of four years...then 9-7 three out of four years...don't know if we go up or down over the next four. One thing is certain the team needs to get younger and to managements credit they have taken a few good steps this off-season.
In the late 80's, 90's, and today - the cowboys had est. 15 players over 30 and many of them starters. Contrast that with teams who are consistently playing at a high level (Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, etc) who are among the youngest teams...who use vets, but not always as starters.
In each case the point is that the team had gotten old and was not able to compete. And in each case had to rebuild. The question will remain for this year, can we compete or will we have to rebuild before making the run for the championship.
(Note: The younger the team the better our odds of making a run for the championship....average overall age of team needs to be 3 years younger than it is today).
