Yeah, I remember Kelvin Edwards, too. I was 17 then and, funny enough, was still very excited about those scab games. If memory serves, the first one was in NY vs. the Jets. That's when the Cornell Burbage legend was born.

Next week, at TS, the infamous line crossing game. I recall that one being blacked out locally (a few were that season). This one is where the Buddy Ryan venom originated, as everyone knows.

Then, I believe the scab finale was a Monday nighter here against the Skins. Tony Robinson, the Skin's replacement QB, flashed some legit NFL skill. Too bad the guy couldn't stay away from cocaine.

If I'm not mistaken, the third week of that season was wiped from the slate due to the strike. There were only 15 games that season. All told, that was a very forgettable year

Edwards stuck with the team, if I am not mistaken...along with Sweeney and Burbage

....Boy that was ugly, but I loved it. :laugh2:

Our regular team was bad and Tex put together the best bunch of scabs out there. Good ole' Kevin Sweeney. (No offense but Romo reminds me of a souped up version of Sweeney).

Anyway, we paid the piper later that year when the regulars returned and Buddy Ryan embarassed Landry and Tex with the ole' Randall Cunningham fake kneel down at the end of the game.

Those are some bad memories. Hope we don't ever get to that point again.

I amde sure to watch every game I could and I watched quite a few I was young and if it happen again I watch the scrubs play and play hard

Thanks....I think it was Mike Dwyer.

It was Mike Dwyer. I was at a game and I remember him being all over the field wreaking havoc. I was also disappointed when he didn't make the regular squad after the strike.

Funny thing is I attended more scab games than I have any other Cowboys games combined!

I think it was Kelvin Edwards - he scored on a reverse I think in the first "scab" game. I think he was from Liberty, same school as Eric Green TE with Pittsburgh. But there is no telling what I am remembering, my memory has never been very good.
Actually it was the second scab game, the first was against the Jets. I was at the first game AFTER the strike, the fake kneel-down game in Philly... boy I had everything thrown at me during that game... Oh yeah... and yes, it was Kelvin Edwards... they had two recievers named Kelvin that year, Martin & Edwards.
