Who replaces Owens next year?

Because he runs sloppy routes along the side lines way to often watch how he does not give the QB a place to throw on deep balls along the sideline

He drops to many balls in key situations (Lets see 4th and 2 Giants Commanders game there are more)

Glenn should be running down the sidelines and TO down the middle.

As for the drops... he will see the best hand guy in the off season and fix whats broke.

TO is here to stay.

He runs sloppy routes? he gets pushed out of bounds. which makes it an illegal catch if he is thrown to and catches it.

Drops passes...have you looked at the defenses in our Division? they are stellar when firing on all cylnders, like they are when we face each other.

nice excuses though

we should try plugging in Austin as SE and have him run posts all day, and put TO in the slot

we'd kill teams, I swear

Jerruh will never permit T.O to burn the Cowboys again by letting him go. all you who want him out of Dallas , talk about the Drops and thats it! cuz thats all you guys have. and you know wut? Drops arent even a real stat. its all expanded b/c its Terrell. hes been Very good this year, hes our number 1 WR. Glenn is great, but Owens is the man right now. He stays.

Move TO to the slot?

Is that even legal?

You wouldNT know it was from watching our offense.

I wish we would move TO to the slot on occasion and let him do what he does best. Catch over the middle and run.

As for moving guys around I wish we would move Ware around some too :)

Yeah... you are right.... but he must run enough CLEAN routes and stay in bounds enough to lead in TD's and to be among the league leaders in ALOT of WR categories.

but TO is terrible at running routes on the sideline, he stays too close

and suprisingly the 1st person to point that out was Al Michaels, ugh

Well we all know that but our coaching staff still sends him down the sidelines.

This is the staffs' fault and not TOs.

Like I have said a million times... as a coach you must use your players' strengths - NOT THEIR WEAKNESSES.

Sorry to be captain obvious but our caoaches do not know this apparently.

but you can't keep a WR from not running on the sidelines, if he was coming out of the slot all of the times, you could just put a LB in that area, or a S

So is TO that ignorant and not listening to the coaches or are they not making him aware of his piss-poor routes down the sideline?

I'd bet its the latter.

I think corners might be bumping him to the sidelines I dunno if a 10 year NFL vet would make such ignorant mistakes over and over again, wait this is T.O. we're talking about.

I bet it's all on TO

no doubt BP would love to put him in the slot, however who are you going to put on the outside? there are no speed guys besides glenn and potentially austin.

i think it's a decision to have glenn crayton and TO on the field instead of glenn TO and austin.

crayton and hurd are too slow to be on the outside.

now who could replace TO? no one, no FA or rookie. they've have to replace him with a better RG to be able to run the ball and a pass rushing DE to improve the defense. can you get that for $10m in FA?

how much would steinbach and vonnie holiday or jason taylor cost?

and for all the drops, Romo's passing percentage doesn't seem to be affected at all. this offense went from anemic to explosive with one addition, TO, and that was with the brilliant OC Sean payton :laugh2: so no TO, no Payton

I don't like TO and I would love to find someone better, equal, or even a little worse - as long as he didn't have TO's mouth.

Bennett from the Titans is not the answer in FA.... I live in Nashville and watch a lot of Titans games and he is not a #1 reciever... #2 is very generous. The guy was ragged on earlier in the seaon for not being willing to take a hit to make a play. I've seen him back off. Plus, he's not very fast. All and all, pretty mediocre.

Unless we get the opportunity for a great WR, I think we have more pressing needs, RG, RB, and help on defense.

I think TO made it pretty clear. In Michael Irvin interview he said he was happy to be a Cowboy and said that he wished he had been a Cowboy all along(something along those lines).... recently he said that he wont talk about it much but if he wasnt here next year he would be playing somewhere....the way the contract is structured... sounds like he was just keeping it real, yo!

That's correct. He likes it in Dallas and had it not been for a string of injuries this year he would have pulled in more than 13 TDs (and 13TDS is not too shabby at all) Since I am not filled with any discourse for the guy I can see that as every week has gone by there has been a positive progression with him in terms of play and the way he handles the media. that goes totally against the grain of the pundits that sat TO will destroy a locker room if they aren't winning. Well, they haven't been winning and said locker room is still in tact.

I also laugh at the armchair reporters that say TO is "currently" destroying the locker room. He's a "cancer". I've heard that term used numerous times... I didn't know you had special media passes to the Cowboys locker room. I would like to also have one please. Hook a brotha up.

This makes waaay too much sense. We would rather sit here and argue the guy based upon how he has been used (misused) than talk about better ways to use him. Your logic does not compute for some folks.
