Who replaces Owens next year?

Win as a team, lose as a team.

Yes there are always contributing factors to why a team loses, but in the end, the name in the loser's column is Cowboys, not Romo, not Owens, not anybody else.

Can you PM all the people that blame TO for our loss against the Commanders and Giants?

Ballin. :)

If T.O. has a huge game this Saturday he'll be back, if T.O. has a terrible game this Saturday he'll be back. Jerry loves this guy.

I think that is true too. Was it the Detroit game where he was on the sideline congratulating him, not sure , but it was one of them.

I don't think he is going anywhere. It cost Jones 2 1st rounders for a guy like Galloway, TO was free (relatively speaking). He is not going to just give him away.

And not only that, he would be admitting a mistake if he did, and he does not do that very often.

I was waiting for you in this thread.

We already had YoMIck, WV Cowboy in here defending something that did not need to be, and you just made it the normal threesome.

Please show me the hate in this thread. It is a simple question based on speculation and yet you guys feel the need to come in here and proclaim hate!

OK, we won't say hate anymore, we'll use the word 'dislike' ... there, does that make you feel better ?:laugh2:

Owens lead the Cowboys in:
  • TD catches
  • Receptions
  • Total receiving yards
  • Longest reception for a TD

He leads them in every receiving category except average yds per catch, which our other amazing WR, TG leads.

He leads the NFL for WR catches for TD's, plus:
  • He is 9th in receiving yds for a WR
  • 11th in catches for a WR
  • Tied for 10th in receptions of over 25 yds
  • 6th in receiving 1st downs

So what other reason would any Cowboys fan in their right mind have for not wanting this WR here again next year, unless they just hated him before he came here.

Oh, not hated, sorry, disliked, ... they disliked him prior to him becoming a Cowboy.

They don't have to use the word, it is all over every post they post.

And even if you don't like to hear the word, that is the only reason not to want that offensive production back again.

We have too many other areas that DO need attention.

I vote for Dwayne Jarrett, USC, and a vet. free agent...if he's not back.

:lmao2: @ this thread.

you people really want T.O. gone that bad?

you want to see Patrick Crayton and an old Terry Glenn as our top 2 WR's? or even the youngsters like Sam Hurd?

you want to be 5-11 that bad?

you want to lose ALL THE TIME like its the troy hambrick era again?

what kinda fan would want this.

hate the guy all you want, but hes unreplaceable. (i dont see the Panthers trading Steve Smith) lol

You'll never get through to some of the stubborn, illogical, hopeful clowns posting on this board.

Some people actually believe that TWO Undrafted FA's can fill one mans role in this offense.. If we had a young stud waiting for a shot like Ted Ginn, Calvin Johnson, Sidney Rice, or Dwanye Jarret .. ..

Then and ONLY then would I say or even agree, that releasing T.O. and his 8 million dollar paycheck/headache to give that young WR a chance is a good choice.

YOU WILL NOT REPLACE THAT KIND OF PRODUCTION.. And if you can't see that , then your discontent/hatred of T.O has pulled some serious wool over your eyes...

Get real.

Because this is a discussion board and EVERY position except maybe punter is open for debate for this underachieving team.

As slim a possibility as it is, the 'boys DO have the option to not to pick up his roster bonus. So if they don't, the original poster is right to ask the question of who fans might want on the team to replace him.

This whole thread has been dominated by you guys snarling at the mere thought of people SUGGESTING he might not be back. You guys need to chill. Seriously. No position is above scrutiny.

Bill Parcells can thank T.O's distractions for keeping the media off his back this long.

Actually he can thank Romo and the 8-4 record because everyone was loving him then.

How quickly things change!

I have 3 posts in this thread, two are about one sentence or so, and I am dominating the thread. OK :D

Plus, I disagree, I think there are several positions that Parcells & Jones won't talk about replacing.

Anyway we can drug a few teams and move up for Calvin Johnson out of Ga. Tech :D

if by some stupid move dallas thinks they can match owens production with these rejects that will be in FA this yr. i wouldnt mind it being chris henry, word on si.com is that marvin lewis is seriously thinking about releasing chris henry

So instead of a superstar receiver that runs his mouth too much, we get an average one that spent the majority of training camp in the court room. Weak WR class if Henry is the best outta the bunch.

And how do we get him? :laugh2:

WR's usually drop, especially underclassmen...Jarrett, unlike Johnson, should stay in college to get stronger and more physical. I don't expect him to go in the top 10, maybe around 15-20, but who knows.

He would be my choice...first we'll have to sign a WR in free agency though...no way we'll wait for the draft.

I'd be worried about Chris Henry and his character myself, but to call him "average" is ridiculous...he made more big plays down the stretch that the other two guys...He's an incredible, superstar-type talent.
