Who replaces Owens next year?

The Cowboys have a pretty good group of wide receivers outside of Owens. The offense operated fairly well with K Johnson and Glenn, and that was with Bledsoe at QB. I think Crayton is under-rated and could very well provide what Keyshaun did in '05. Assuming Owens leaves next year, the way to offset that loss isn't by picking up a WR, but by upgrading the offensive line. The Cowboys have a QB, they have the WRs, they have the running back. With a few tweaks of the offensive line, I'd start with the guards, I think the Cowboys could continue to have a dominant offense without Owens.

So the speculation is that T. Owens won't be back next year. If true, the Cowboys will need a replacement.

I was curious, so I checked the free agent WR situation.

It is early and things can/will change, but so far it looks like a fairly lean year for FA WRs with the best of the bunch being Drew Bennett (Titans) and Kevin Curtis (Rams).

seems like this speculation is really just an agenda by people who dont like TO on msg boards.

He's so "unreplaceable" that the Eagles and 9ers shut down their franchises after he left.

Oh, and they aren't 5-11 teams, either.

The guy posted nearly 1,200 yards receiving, leads all wideouts in TD catches, has great chemistry with his QB, plays through injury, and forces defenses to respect our passing game.

Yeah, we better get rid of this guy.

the 9ers pretty much did shut their franchise down since T.O., they have been terrible up until this year.

and the Eagles, they arent ever going to be that bad with that o-line giving QB's 10 years to pick what WR to go to. and with a smart blitz scheme on defense and Brian Dawkins playin all-world. but yea.. they still arent capable of winning a superbowl without T.O., and wont come close.
