If only we had a big strong man at QB who could get us a first down when we need one.

I remember a few games Pollard was stuffed behind the line and Elliot was finding narrow lanes and getting 3 or 4. May have been egirls game. We just have to trim it down in camps. We have about 5 RBs now without Elliot. Who knows he may find another team but I know JJ gave him a standing offer that’s why he said it’s not over yet. And they never gave a official offer to Elliot,
It may not be until training camps are about to open before we find out what happens with Zeke.

I'm not seeing all of these tough yards. I saw Zeke falling to the first ankle tackle at the line of scrimmage time and again. Zeke does still have his agility. But no power.
You must not have been looking very hard because he picked up a lot of tough yards last season. He had almost 900 yards rushing in 15 games and it’s not like he was breaking off long runs to get those yards.

Wasn't Ronald Jones and inside runner in the past? All they need is a guy who has good vision and an OL that can open holes.

I’m all for a trade for an OG and/or BIG RB. We’re close but any ability at all to be able to convert 4th and 1-5, would be great. I’m a big fan of the Cowboys ability to draft but I’d be lying if I didn’t say this is very 2009 to me.

I’m at a 8 with my panic for the run game. After training camp I’m all for a 1-3 round trade for a OG and/bulldozer RB.
I'd look at giving the ball to Mazi on short yardage. He is very athletic and big. It would be like the bears did with the frig!

All they need is a guy who has good vision and an OL that can open holes against the better DL/front 7s our issues weren't averaged over 17 games but the last 3 playoff losses we couldn't open holes or establish physicality in the run. Hope we have our starting 5 in the playoffs all healthy and playing their best..its been an issue for sure.

It’s 2023. No one does a power run on 4th and 2 except maybe the Titans.

You pass it or run a read option with Dak as a threat.

I guess that’s why there’s a big disconnect between Cowboys fans and reality when it comes to Ezekiel Elliott.

Cowboys really didn't have much of that last year when going to Zeke. For the most part he got stuffed more times than not and even lost some yards in the process. I would say so far by not having Zeke the short yardage plays will improve significantly

That’s is just factually untrue. Zekes ypa jumps up by almost 2 yrds on short yardage situations.

To short yardage runs, I think the cowboys will be able to run inside and outside. Our new TE should improve the outside run percentages.
The way we run this year will be interesting and fun to watch
Naw, we out smart our opponent and sling the rock 40 yards for a long gainer maybe even a touchdown!...J/K
