Who sees a role for Christine Michael?

A lot of people were complaining about the running game, but I thought Randle, Dunbar and McFadden all did a fine job.

That said, Michael has another gear and ceiling that none of the other three have.

I could see Michael getting some burn with Dez out as an extra weapon, or I could see him riding the pine the entire season. I can't decide. What do you guys think?

It's hard to imagine a scenario where we activate 4RBs, unless it comes at the expense of a TE. Since I can't see us using just 2 TEs, I'm going to say he will be inactive until someone gets injured.

I think he will get his chance very soon. Randle put the ball on the ground last night and was shaky on blitz pick up a cpl of times. He didn't have a terrible game but those two things seem to be points of importance to Garrett ( as they should be)

I think he is the best running back on our team. It's only a matter of time before Mcfadden gets hurt or we realize Joe isn't the answer at starter. When that happens.. Michael will get his chance and I think he will be solid.

as much as I did like what each of RBs brought last night I do see need for some toughness. I notice that Randle doesn't have exceptional balance like Murray and can be smashed to ground by LBs. I would actually start Michael to establish physical presence then bring Randle in to gash defense. Carries would look like this:

Michaels - 7
Randle - 12
McFadden - 4
Dunbar - 3

I think he will, he's definitely different than the other backs by Randle was solid especially on that drive with back to back catches coming out of backfield and averaging 4.1 a carry , I think as the season goes we get our running game going, remember first games with all the starters together.

I think DmC showed he could really still fly !

I think you might be right. What would it hurt playing him anyway? While I liked the rb's catches last night, that was about it

Dunbar played more like a slot receiver than a RB last night. With Dez being down, I can see them activating CM once he gets playbook down and use Dunbar more as a WR.

If we don't add a WR who knows the system he could be active this week
Unless we bring Jenkins who knows the system, anyone off the street is not likely to be ready that fast

Christine Michael is just another draft bust until proven otherwise.

Seattle was prepared to release their 2013 second round selection and traded him within the conference to a potential Super Bowl contender they lost to last season.

The Seahawks obviously don't think Michael will amount to anything.

Maybe they're right and Michael gets churned in quick order the same as OT Jordan Mills.

Or maybe the change in scenery helps the light come on the young runner and he works his way into the committee as the season progresses.

Obviously, it'll be great for us if Michael becomes a player this season.

I'm optimistic by nature, but I'm not buying yet.

I wasn't really impressed with Randle, like mentioned earlier, he didn't have terrible game but he did miss opportunities. Hopefully we get to see what this Christine kid has.

I had high hopes for Randle last night and he was just OK. McFadden looked like he was shot out of a cannon!!! More touches for him PLEASE. I believe Michael can be a feature back if given a legit chance. Did Green Bay give up on Rogers after his third year on the bench? When you have a hall of famer in front of you life sucks.

Michael does not have the gears that Dmac has...that ain't happening.

Overall I feel last nights run game was ok, nothing special but I think we all need to realize that last night was the first time this line has been together since last year. Their pass blocking is down, next will come the run blocking IMO. I also feel based off of last night that Dmac should get the starts and let Randall come in to relieve.

Personally I think 4.1 per carry is garbage behind our line
