Who should the Cowboys hire as Head Coach?

Deion Sanders. He would be the perfect collaboration to add to the circus and chaos. And he would be a ratings bonanza...EVERYone would watch Cowboys games with him on the sideline.

And if the Cowboys play their cards right, he'll lure his sons over time, which would even moreso add to the drama. So many bank accounts would fill with Deion as the HC.

If not Deion, then find a HC who can bring a different offensive philosophy. And lord knows they need a lot better players, so they better go "all in" for real, else Washington and Philly are going to surge past the Cowboys over the next few years.

But...and this is a very big but....he would become the face of the team. Jerry would be pushed out of the spotlight.

People have died for less than that.

I'd like Saban to be the coach. I think he's still tuned into the college game and could bring in coordinators that would institute a system that can compete.

Nope, JJ and Deion would stand side by side and take media questions. LOL Again, a pure ratings blitz...

Deion would simply need to find/lure NFL-level talent as coordinators...and let them do all the work. All he would have to do is manage the game well, convince JJ to improve the roster at every turn, and then talk to the media (with JJ of course :) ).

Ben Johnson.

Enough of these antiques has beens who had something going on 3 decades ago.

But like the majority of Cowboys will tell you, without a change at the top (Jerry & co), the coach won’t make too much difference

Put your preference in here.

My hope is Jon Gruden. Comparable to McCarthy. He fits what Jerry is looking for other than he probably wants to be paid fairly.
Ben Johnson or Doug Pederson.

Just so that people that are too lazy to actually type a persons name, have to call them "BJ" or "DP"

It is possible that Gruden might return to the NFL?

How much of the Raiders mega-contract did he get to keep?
- Would he be coming back for money or just to get back into the game...
- i.e. Would he work for a mid-tier NFL HC contract?

I would love to see Deion here and take the spotlight from Jerry.

He'd probably make it till Thanksgiving.

I would’ve been for it about 10 years ago but Jimmy’s slowing down. Father time is undefeated and unfortunately it’s catching him too.
This is accurate. I noticed this during the pregame shows this year. He likely doesn’t have the desire, let alone the stamina, to do this job anyway.

A better question is who is the going to be the first homer to get all jacked about the hire despite being against it before it was announced

LMAO maybe, or maybe the ratings blitz, and the Cowboys being talked about on EVERY show all day long is enough for JJ to appreciate all the attention, even if the product on the field stinks (which could be the case for a while)

Probably settle for a retread like Ron Rivera or Doug Pederson. The only guys who are desperate enough for a job and willing to sacrifice working under Jerry. They will be offered the same deal that McCarthy didn't want/got tired of
