What games are some of you watching? Did any of you watch the Texans game last year? It was Leary that handled Watt, it is also Leary and Smith that consistently open holes on the left side. I really don't understand the Leary hate on this board. Often times Leary name isn't mentioned b/c he isn't/wasn't a first round pick but the dude balls. Some of you get an idea in your heads and just run with it regardless if it has any merit or not. Please watch the games that are actually on TV from this point forward.

Most people just follow the ball when watching games and then come here and claim knowledge of the how the OLine played.

Easy answer. Leary if he is healthy enough. Leary said today he was ahead of schedule and it would be a game time decision based on how he felt.

If Leary can't go, then its whoever practices better this week between Collins and Bern. The staff knows what Bern can do, so they are most likely putting the work load on Collins to see if he can earn their trust. So if Collins wows them, I would expect him to start. If he doesn't then Bern will go.

Or is this him trying to rush back on the field so he doesn't lose his job?

Bern didn't look inconsistent against the Giants

Berny's track record for inconsistency can be drive to drive or game to game. He has periods where he looks all-pro then he has periods where he looks like a JAG. Which is fine for a spot starter and back up but you can get that consistency from a blue chipper like Collins who you can teach. Collins is more of blank slate than Berny who is now pretty set in his ways.
