If the offensive system doesn't change it won't matter who the backup is. It's like rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. You saw it this season.
However I do agree that we need to be actively looking for Romo's replacement.
Where do you get 20% from? Romo was played in every game just last year. Obviously he broke his collar bone this year, but it's ridiculous to speculate on breaking a bone.
Depends on how the line plays. If they play like they have this season, probably not.
Through next season without any injuries? I dont, he'll be 36 and hasnt played a full season since 2011. We have to draft qb in the first round, or we'll be looking at the same results next season.
Where is rationale behind this thread coming from?
In the last five years he's played 15,15,16, 16, & 4 games.
The same amount as Roethliberger by the way. Yes injury is always a concern and he's older but it's not like he's been playing half seasons. Brady has missed full seasons before and Peyton us right on the edge, it happens but I don't see this as a trend and there's nothing to suggest there is.
I agree we need to find his replacement but c'mon. He had two awkward hits on the same injury and it will be fully healed and he's another year removed from back surgery.

So hope is our strategy?
That's unrealistic.
Someone will get through.
It's more a question of Romo than the line.
If he doesn't have to hold the ball for 5 seconds every play there's a shot. Doesn't tom Brady hold the ball an average of 2.5 seconds? That's crazy!!
