The Giants be lucky to even cover the 14 point spread against Minscrew but ya already know lil Jalen is gonna play and torch their defense and back in the MVP talk

Cowboys could lose but evidently you don't watch many game by other teams who also have played poorly vs bad teams who have lost games. Use the same microscope on other teams that you use on the Cowboys. Dallas is winner of 7 of their last 8 games. If Dallas does not play perfect all of a sudden we are bums?
We're not bums just cursed on grass 1-3

and cursed against Brady and Rogers.

Hurts was limited today. I've thought that he was hurt worse than they were saying from the time he was injured.

I really wonder if Sirianni is just waiting out the Giants here. I have little doubt if Daboll came out tomorrow and said all starters were benched, Sirianni would sit Hurts for more rest. But since Daboll seems to be hedging, Sirianni has to prepare like Hurts is playing.

Yet he played after the injury for more than a quarter against Chicago and finished the game in Winning fashion ha ha ha

And let's be clear. Those are will (and do) tout our regular season accomplishments are just those fans who can bring themselves to admit what a failure this franchise has been over the last 20+ years. You can bet if the Cowboys had 5 NFCCG games in 20 years and a couple of SB appearances, they'd be touting them all day long. But we've been a miserable failure in the postseason, so they have to inflate the importance and significance of 12 and 13 win seasons.

Fine. Have it. But don't expect other fans to join along. The playoffs and winning in January (and February) are all that really matters and all that most fans really care about and all that history really looks back on favorably. Not the team that won 13 games and then proceeds to throw up and soil themselves on national TV in early to mid January.
We're in a weak division and played the AFC South and NFC North.

That helps a lot.

I'm no Dalton fan but he played behind a decimated offensive line - worse than what Prescott had and from memory the team had a higher winning % under Dalton than Prescott during that season as well. Very much the same as this season with Rush and Prescott. Either coincidence or the defense plays harder for third string quarterbacks.

People focus on how many points an offense scores whilst I concentrate on complementary football and actually winning games. Scoring is for show (especially during garbage time) whilst finishing is for dough.

Let's not do this thing where we attempt to rewrite history. That is the same OL Dak had to play behind when people like the OP *****ed and moaned that ANY NFL QB (Especially one of Dalton's abilities) could produce similar results. And beyond that, the argument was that the offense is SOOOOOO STACKED -- so even with an OL "decimated" by injuries (with a QB that was argued was as talented as Dak in Dalton) should put up similar numbers to Dak's.

And please stop with the W/L record nonsense. I am positive that Cooper has a better winning percentage than Dak now...Hell, he probably has a better percentage than Joe Burrow, Herbert, and a host of other QBs you think are elite. The fact is that under Dak the Cowboys averaged 32.6 PPG...without Dak it averaged 22.2. And LOL at "people focus on how many points an offense scores..." Really? Really?

Hurts will play a quarter, get them a 14-0 lead, then minshew will take over with directive that punts aren't bad, but TOs are

.

at the very least Hurts will play until they have a big lead. The 1 seed basically doubles your odds of winning the super bowl…that’s worth playing hurts the entire game if necessary.

Totally worth the risk.

I read that the Eagles have never been the #2 seed before, but have been the number 1 seed 6 times, and have made at least the NFC Championship game every single one of those times, and going to the SB 3 of those.

THATS worth the risk.

The Eagles aren't fine. They have a serious problem at right tackle and qb. My parlay of Saints +6.5 and Saints money line was right on the money.
They never have been they have struggled in 6 out of their last 8 games!

The chiefs went to overtime with that Houston team. Eagles also struggled with Jacksonville when they were at full strength. Y’all need to treat all teams the same way you treat your own.

You forgot the Colts beat the chiefs. Wasn't it the titans that took the chiefs to overtime?

I understand all this, my concern is how we're trending lately. Teams change throughout the year. The Colts would lose by 30 points of they played the chiefs this week. I'm not sure if we're just playing down to our opponent, or we're just not that much better.

Andy Dalton played behind a weaker offensive line than Dak Prescott unless you do not consider Zak Martin a key player. Pretty sure another one of the starters aside from Tyron Smith missed time when Dalton played as well. Prescott played behind a banged up line until he got injured but it was weaker for Dalton and he's even less mobile than Prescott so that was never going to end well.

It's about complementary football though isn't it - how many times has Prescott turned over the ball compared with Rush this season?

Of course Prescott is a better QB than both of those guys but it has been shown this season that he isn't the x factor to the team unlike Hurts is with the Eagles as the Cowboys win games without him. Shoot we beat the Bengals with Rush!

Frankly I don't give a damn about the past 20 years, hell I don't care about last year. I do however care about this team and this year. 20 Years ago has nothing to do with these players and this coaching staff. You take garbage outside of this team control and dump in on them? lol Playoffs are tough for every team out there. You assume we will lose, fine you can feel however you choose but frankly it is being a lousy fan to sit there and claim we will lose based on past games. No doubt this team has to go out and play great ball in these playoffs but there is nothing predetermined of the outcomes.

That is typical. Lots of players finish out a game because they are pumped up on adrenaline for hours. Once that adrenaline goes away then pain takes over and swelling etc. Has happened to lots of Cowboys players over the years.
