Leftwich? Bulger? Roethlisberger? Are you kidding me?

Roethlisburger is looking bad now after losing his #2 and #3 WRs, and not to mention all he's been through this offseason. Lets no forget he's younger than Romo and already has a superbowl.

Bulger has been Money all year, except last week it seems.

Leftwich, when healthy, looks just as good as Romo, with far less.

But what do all these guys have over Romo? Experience (which isn't everything) and they're proven. How do we know Romo isn't Mark Rypken or Jeff Hostetler (sp on both).

I wouldn't take P. Manning, simply because of age.

EDIT: I'm actually not sure if I'd take him. Maybe, MAYBE because of age...

I don't know how good he'll be (and for how long), but I like the way this Romo ride is going so far.

Brady and P. Manning are very likely better than Romo will ever be, but watching this Romomania unfold may be more entertaining.

Are you kidding? Lets cross Delhomme, Leinart, Young, Carr, Pennington, Bulger, Vick and Green (age) off that list.

Romo has better numbers. Also he is making plays, whereas Rivers is dumping off short passes to LT and he's taking it to the house.

Trying to be honest and not sound too much like a homer on this one. But really, as it stands right now- what QB would you take over Romo? I only came up with 3. Brady, Palmer and Peyton. That's it - there are some that are close calls but only 3 I would trade Romo for without hesitation. Speaks loads of Romo's talent or the lack of quality QB's in the league right now.
Brady.
maybe Rivers (probalby not given his contract)
i'd have said Palmer before the injury last playoffs
Peyton's contract is no good and he can't handle the big game
the list ends there. other guys have contract/age or "haven't done it" issues.

I just don't know what you're basing this on. When 1/4 of your completions go to the most dangerous player maybe ever, I think you might be a little inflated. Rivers has been very good. But better than Romo? I can't see that determination.

Hard question right now considering he is playing better than most QB's as of late.

I wouldn't touch this thread with a 10 foot pole. This has "invitation to flame Hos for his pedigree ideas" all over it.

reconsidering things and reformulating previous ideas is never a bad thing.... sign of intelligence actually.... give it a shot & at least go on for the record with your choices :)

He went on the record last week as saying he would take Eli over Romo. :D

look obviously any list compiled is subject to disagreement. But I am of the opinion that there is always WAY TOO MUCH emphasis on the QB position.

I am thrilled with the way Romo has played so far. But I am simply not willing to raise him to the status that others have....yet!

I think the role that the Cowboys defense played in beating Indy has been understated and underappreciated. Additionally, the Cowboys are back in business and very possibly playoff bound partly due to the downward trend of the Giants, Eagles, Vikings, Saints, and Falcons.

Alot of football left and here's to hoping the wins keep coming.:toast2:

Obviously its all subjective but what have any of the other QBs on your list proven? Delhomme is the only one who has had one really good year but he is as up and down as it gets.

Romo needs to finish out this year playing as well as he has so far and start next season where he leaves off before I feel good about putting him with some names being thrown around here....

Garrard has a great record as a starter but I think he's horrible
Jeff George looked great in stretches....esp with R Moss
Give it a little more time
and then there's that harlot Jessica trying to screw up Tony's life...

But I will say I love that Romo guy, he is fun to watch. I wouldn't be interested in the rest of this season if Bledsoe was still the starter.

I simply do not get the bolded part. It is all about the QB. Dallas was going nowhere, and played like crap for the most part.

Insert good QB play and voila the team is shooting up like a rocket. Sure, I credit the defense for a masterful win against Indy.

Insert Bledsoe and I am quite sure we would be talking about another terrible loss.

Dallas has a spark now that they have not had since Troy Aikman was a young man.

Good QB play will do wonders for a team on both the offense and the defense.
