Bob Hayes, Bob Lilly, Lee Roy Jordan, Tony D., Roger Staubach, Harvey Martin, Emmitt, Larry Allen, Charles Haley and Tom Landry.

Amen, Brother. But don't forget Drew Pearson!!! He was the ultimate clutch performer. Everyone knew Roger was throwing him the ball at the end of a game, and he still caught it!

Problem?

No, I'm not a fan of the usual suspects.

Watching Harris play football is a joy to me.He plays the game like a new England patriot(smart)

Harris...now that's an original answer. Get points just for that.
I will say this; if everyone on the team played the game with his passion, we'd be in good shape.
Dez, Witten, and Lee certainly have it too. I think Romo has a burning passion too, but I'll leave him out to prevent another bash-fest.

I think for the most part, every football player has that strong passion to play the game of football, that's how they made it to the NFL level. Just some get corrupted with the money and they forget why they started to play the game of football in the first place. I think that's why you have the Albert haynsworths, JaMarcuss Russels, and etc.

Favorite is Roger. He was very good at the small things that make a difference at the end of a game. Unlike Troy, who would burn time outs during the game, Roger tended to husband his. If there was a play he didn't understand, rather than call a TO, he'd improvise.

The only comparable QB at the end of the game to Roger, IMO, is Joe Montana. I didn't see enough of Unitas to make that comparison.

In the 1990s, I was fond of the team collectively, didn't really warm to many of the players, though people like Kelvin Martin and Chad Hennings I liked. Chad wasn't even supposed to be there. He was a futures pick of the previous regime, the kind of player JJ discarded like Kleenex, until he saw Chad run. Then he realized he was fast enough to play a Miami 4-3 and kept him.

Of the current crew, Miles Austin, DeMarco Murray, and Jason Witten are all favorites. I like Romo, but wouldn't describe him as my favorite.

My Dad's favorite, hands down, is Bob Lilly. He would go to games with binoculars and just watch Lilly play.

In the 80s, Randy White.

In the 90s, Irvin.

On the present team, Romo.

Torrin Tucker was always a favorite of mine.

Could play left AND right tackle...extremely versatile.

My favorite Dallas Cowboy of all time would have to be Emmitt Smith... My favorite current Dallas Cowboy is Demarcus Ware.

As a kid I really liked Harvey Martin
Right now I've got a really good feeling that Bruce Carter will be a bad-arse if the rest of the defense can be shored up.

Loves me some defense.

the young'ns just dont know how dominant he was. who actually got stronger as the game got longer. Unlike the current Cowboys defense. ahhhhh the memorys

No doubt and he was just everything you expected and wanted a football player to be. He played with a nasty attitude unlike any other. Imagine what Randy White would have done after the Golden Tate hit on Lee last year or when TO pulled his stunt on the star.

That was when old school football was played. Now days we have a player, Tashard Choice, asking for Vick's autograph just after the eagles beat the hell out of the Cowboys!

:D

The autograph thing still makes me want to vomit. Glad we don't have him any more.
