Irvin, Romo and Dez.

I'm a post-dynasty fan - meaning I barely can remember the Triplets era. Anyone under the age of 25 tends to fall in that category.

Something about the way Irvin played, led, and competed. He's the kinda guy you'd wanna go to battle with.

As far as present day, we haven't had much between 98-2005, then the Romo era gave us hope and now with Dez it seems we have a superstar in the making.

He has what it takes to be an every down player. Give him the respect he deserves...

You're starting to remind me of the Felix Jones guy with this AOA bit...

I don't know why, but I never seem to remember to put Jimmy Johnson down as one of my favorite Cowboys but...... he certainly is. I loved everything about his coaching style and you could see the team grow month to month on the way to their championships. I miss not seeing that growth, we just simply seem to wander along nowadays almost aimlessly.

Only difference is, AOA's career is still pointing upward.

I've watched him play for 5 years now. I know he is worthy of a roster spot on even the most talented defenses in the league.

The fact of the matter is that Jerry never gave him much of a chance. He was hurt--not once, but twice--and that was the end of him...

Nice to meet you, Mr. Ansah. You keep your chin up, ok?

i'd like to chime in...
favorite dallas cowboys:
tie between troy aikman and don Meredith.
all that troy aikman accomplished, talent level, field generalship and the fact that he competed in the nfc east are great reasons to be anyone's favorite player.
don Meredith competed when the team was evolving for the first time, could throw the deep ball as good as anyone at that time (bart starr, darryle lamonica, jon hadle, etc...) throwing to bob hayes and ofcourse his personality.
all of this for me makes it a tie...
we all know we could list pages of accomplisments for both!

go cowboys!

Bob Hayes, Bob Lilly, Lee Roy Jordan, Tony D., Roger Staubach, Harvey Martin, Emmitt, Larry Allen, Charles Haley and Tom Landry.

That's a pretty awesome list. I'd add the play maker and 2tall.

Wow, hard to choose. But if I have to: Then-Roger Dodger, 90's-Ken Norton, Jr., Now-I'd have to say Dez (I like the way he HATES to lose).

Past: Aikman -- the guy was just pure class throughout his entire HoF career.
Current: Ware -- the guy has been pure class so far in his HoF calibre career.
