Its very simple. As free agency time goes on. The free agents prices go down . All first day signings are overpaid.

Exactly, plus Dallas has no money to spend so they have to wait the market to settle a little bit, even if they miss on some chances.

They've said previously it reduces time wasted in posturing. They're probably right in that regard.

Actually I tempted to think Jerry might like that aspect. Business minded and all, I wouldn't be shocked if he considered it a hobby.

Or as free agency carries in the talent pool thins to where anyone would ask for the type of money the first day signees get.

No doubt prices may come down but nobodies ever paid a lot for toaster leavins in the first place.
