Why are people acting like getting Lee back is a "bonus"?

At some point, like the one atop mein head, you half to ax yourself "When is the Lee experiment going to be over?"
Overrated and never a consistent contributor. And his arm tackling need work. More work than Reba McIntire would need in acting school.
I thought Reba did a good job in Tremors.

who? if hes on the team or not means nothing to me. He can be the best player to play the game, i said it before i ll say it agian. I dont care if you have a ferrari it doesnt do you any good if its in the shop all the time, and thats how i see Lee, great player, but always in the shop to be fixed.

Bonus: something good that is more than what was expected

What about that definition, does the OP disagree with Sean Lee returning to the field? I understand the doubt in Lee's ability to remain healthy, but that's the very reason his presence on the field would be a bonus. At this point I don't expect him to be there the entire season but while he is there, I regard it as a bonus to the team.

I forgot about that . . . as i recall she did a adequate job for halfing no acting chops when she first started acting. interesting that her acting would regress that much.

Me thinks you have failed to catch her Sitcom "Reba". It's in syndication now so it's not too late.

I did watch him when he was healthy, which was not often let me tell you. boy howdy, I recall seeing RBs run past him and him reaching out to arm tackle and be left in the dust. I say let him go home to sign with Pittsburgh or the Eagles, his time be up here.

And to compare Murray's contributions to Lee is absurd, dfense.
Murray last year got 1,800 yards. Lee got 1,800 tackles in his John Madden game. :)

Apples to Oranges. Lots of experts will tell you if healthy, Lee was a Pro Bowler. And he's worth keeping since his contract only pays if he plays.

I don't really understand. He hasn't played a complete season since at least his sophomore year in college, maybe longer. I keep reading in threads and twitter posts how great it will be to see him on the field, like he is some sleeper player. At this point, it's time to call a spade a spade and realize he just isn't going to be on the field late in the season. I hate to write him off, but without some serious depth at the linebacker position, it is hard to just pencil him in and say we're good to go.

Getting back what was the teams best defensive player would be a bonus if he can return to form and stay healthy. A lot of what you're saying could have been said about Murray entering the 2014 season. He had an injury history in college and hadn't played a complete season with the Cowboys due to injuries. A lot of fans were souring on him because he couldn't stay on the field and when he finally did it made a huge impact. If Lee could somehow stay healthy for a full season maybe he could have a similar impact. I'm one of those who's very discouraged by his never ending injury issues that have him missing the Dec crunch games every season.

Im not counting on him in 2015 he'll be showing up to camp wearing a knee brace and the Cowboys will be very cautious with him. It will likely take him the entire season to try and get back to form if he ever does get back to form. I agree you certainly can't pencil him however it will be a bonus if he can stay on the field and still play at a high level. If he gets injured again forcing him to miss more games it will be time to move on. He'll be 29 in July and has missed more games than he's played so one more injury that causes him to miss multiple games and the Cowboys need to cut their losses.

He'll be a bonus if he stays healthy. Otherwise, i'm not expecting anything from him or even looking forward to him. I'm just of the belief that there are some guys who can't play in this league. Some guys aren't talented enough. Some aren't smart enough. Some don't have the hunger. In Lee's case, he has the most unfortunate weakness....his body can't play in this league.

I get your point and you cant rely on him to stay healthy, but from the bonus stand point...he is a playmaker when he is on the field. So anything we get from him is a bonus.

While I certainly wish Sean Lee would've played more games during his stay here, I still want him out there with the defense as much as possible, because he's a great player.
