Why are they idiots?

Because preseason games, especially the first and second preseason games, are all about EVALUATING TALENT... there is no gameplanning going on, and in some cases players are definitely put in matchups that do not favor them, to see how they handle it...

Given that, anybody who formulates opinions based on what they see in those games is an idiot... I don't get overly excited by the good things I see, or overly upset by the bad things I see... I suspect this is true of any truly knowledgeable football fan...

They saw their team play poorly in some areas and and they are expressing their opinions with fellow Cowboys fans.

I have no problems with many of them, it's the cowboyrocks of the world, who go off on knee-jerk tirades, that are the idiots...

If they are gonna have people like you calling them idiots they won't be posting much.

I see, we're supposed to just ignore the idiots, and let them rant away...

Frankly, I think this would be a better board if the cowboyrocks of the world DID go away... all message boards have a few Chicken Littles like them, who get liquored up while watching the game and then head to the message boards to blow off steam... they are not assets to the dialogue...

Suffice it to say, I'm now glad I've never wasted any time listening to your radio broadcasts... and I'm certainly glad that I resisted Hos' invitation last year to call in and participate...

Why is this so surprising to some people?

Please don't tell me that during the game if you watched it that you never cussed or got angry at a mistake made. Please don't tell me that your blood pressure never changed. Please don't tell me that your life, home, and attitude had perfect feng-shui.

You tell me that I may have to kill myself. Or at the very least hang my head in shame because I openly admit, stupid mistakes piss me off even if it is pre-season.

I don't care about losing in pre-season. I care more about the injuries. I care about seeing the backups perform.

I'm satisfied with the pre-season so far, but I'm not shocked that some people aren't. I quit believing in faery tales a long time ago.

Indeed we do... and you weren't wrong at all, it WAS a crappy exhibition... you're also right about the penalties, that's one thing that has been happening this preseason that disturbs me, one thing I want to see addressed quickly and firmly...

But I also know that you're not gonna go off the deep end over one crappy exhibition...

People are tripping becase people are crazy. Usually good teams lose preseason games. Think about it. Two years ago the Raiders won all their preseason games and were terrible, the colts lost all theirs and won the superbowl.

It's not surprising, it's just annoying... as I have said over and over, it does have one advantage, it lets you know which posters in here really don't understand the game of football, so you know whose posts you shouldn't take too seriously...

Sorry, ol' buddy, the only time I get upset at ANYTHING in preseason is when a player gets hurt... all the other mistakes, I just shake my head, maybe think to myself "well, he just played himself out of a job"...

Well, I'd kinda like to see a W next week, when the starters will get their longest exposure... that's the real dress rehearsal for the regular season... other than that, I agree with what you wrote in those last 3 sentences completely... I always put a little more stock in what happens in the next to last preseason game...

All this talk about injures is ridiculous. Reminds me of a Chris Rock bit. "You never heard of super delegates until a black guy ran for prez"!

I never heard of the purpose of TC and pre was simply to avoid injuries?! Of course we want to avoid them but there is still a matter of getting in gear, in shape and sharp. Thats what TC is actually about. Or used to be pre Coach Wad. I dont buy it.

What do avoiding injuries have to so with penalties(head) and tackling (physcial)? Back ups cant be coached to play right? LOL! "Dont tackle BC, we dont want you to break a nail"!

Who's freaking out anyway? I love the drama by the self appointed "level headed" ones bathing in their own bologna. "Idiots" and "freaking out". LOL! Riiigggght. Everything is wonderful In Wadland. Puppy dogs and ice cream. We proved in the play offs we're beyond criticism and can turn it on and of whenever we want!
