Why Are People Freak'n Out Over Preseason Games?

This is not about preseason games and you know it. it's also preseason for everyone else. so why are we getting our butts kicked?all the excuses in the world wont reduce the hurt if it ends for us again like it did last year.saying it's just preseason and we can turn it on when we want too wont get it done. you have no facts to prove that. remember the Giants playoff game?

trust me, rock. if you can't understand how different teams will prepare for a meaningless preseason game, you won't understand much of anything intelligent.

again, giants 1-3 last year. skins 3-0 now. ready to give it to them? indy 0-4 their superbowl run.

how come you can "forget" those so you can "remember" these?

Game in game out it's the same thing people putting to much stock in preseason games and complain how bad the players and coaches are.

For the knowledgeable fans know to take these Preseason games with a grain of salt, so to speak.

These games mean nothing! These games are NOT for the veterans, the vets have OTA's and training camp to get in a groove. These games are for the rookies and guys that are on the bubble for a roster spot.

It's amazing how stupid so become with threads that suggest that after a 13-3 season this team all the sudden can't play and the coaches can't coach.

I have no problem with having your opinion out there but...... so of the over the top threads whining about a game that means nothing.

We all need to have keep some prespective with the preseason games. All Cowboy fans should just be happy that we come out of these games without injury to our main guys.

Sorry for the vent but..... needed to be said.

Anybody who freaks out over a preseason game IS an idiot...

It's not surprising, it's just annoying... as I have said over and over, it does have one advantage, it lets you know which posters in here really don't understand the game of football, so you know whose posts you shouldn't take too seriously...

Sorry, ol' buddy, the only time I get upset at ANYTHING in preseason is when a player gets hurt... all the other mistakes, I just shake my head, maybe think to myself "well, he just played himself out of a job"...

This is the long and the short of it right here.

I've seen some references to our "losing"... No, the Dallas Cowboys have not lost a game. How do I know this? Because it's not September 7 and we have not played the Cleveland Browns yet. It's that simple.

Until then, what you're seeing are glorified scrimmages... And the better the team you have, the less you care about them.

Over-react much? What part of the term "pre-season game" don't you understand?

If this was the REGULAR season, you might have reason to cry. Pre-season games don't mean squat. Like Hostile said, injury-free play is all that matters.

Whats funny is that if the Cowboys had won these 2 games, people would be saying that BASED ON WHAT THEY SAW, the team is going to win the super bowl.

I'll give you a bizzare, but very funny example. Batman geeks (not me, although I am a Batman geek ) TRIPPED OUT when Heath Ledger was cast as The Joker and then they totally lost it when they learned that he wore makeup and wasn't "permawhite" like in the comics. Of course, they are all singing the praises of TDK and Ledger now.

The Cowboys not playing well in *ahem* preseason games is just like The Joker in TDK not being permawhite. :laugh2: :starspin

If announcers get you upset, never, EVER listen to the Skins' radio team... Sonny Jurgensen and Sam Huff are just BRUTAL... for openers, those two have high, almost feminine voices that just grate on me... they're also the kind of homers who be feel right at home on Extremeskins, I kid you not... Sam has been known to go most of a half without saying a word when the Skins are losing-- in preseason... last season, Sonny got to picking on him for his reticence, and Sam's only response was a whiny "I really don't have anything to say"... at which point he fell silent again...

I was listening to the second half of last week's game, and the boys actually got to arguing about the down and distance!!!

All I have really paid attention to is the rookies and new pieces to the puzzle. My expectations have not changed.

I never doubted that you understood what preseason was all about...
