Why are we overrating Kellen Moore's intelligence?

I thought we figured out that @Floaty was Kellen?

Have Floaty ever post during the game?

I'd be interested to see if there's something there.

I mean he did stop posting pretty much as soon as the roar around here for his head got pretty loud. He also disappeared when Cooper Rush started taking 2nd team reps.

I fall in the camp of Moore being smart but limited physically. A perfect example of this was a play against the Colts in the first half. Moore took a sack on a play where he had a receiver open down field but didn't make the throw. Moore saw him but at the very last minute, saw a defender drop into the passing lane. If he had an NFL type strong arm, he probably makes that throw and either completes it or gets it picked/deflected. He doesn't so he elected not to make the throw. He knows what he can and can't do but the real problem is that what he can't do is magnified because we have Dak and he looks like he might be able to do it all.

I don't hate on Moore. He's a Cowboy and I try to support him. I do believe we need to upgrade the #2 spot but until that time comes, I will continue to support Moore. Does no good to do otherwise.
How do you excuse the first play of the game? He held on the the ball too long and didn't secure iand gifted them 7 points.

Kellen Moore will be the #2 QB. They will try to get Rush to the practice squad and he'll get snatched up by some bottom dweller, proving something not about Moore's intelligence, but the intelligence of the football brain trust that runs this organization.

I really don't think so at this point. Moore is done, on the the field, in Dallas.

Without reading anything I can answer this question. Stephen Hawking would make a terrible QB.

knowing football or a system is one thing, but when out on the field it is different.
Kellen and the strip last week, says he isn't smart on the field, and maybe cant think fast enough in the game.
I like Kellan, and wanted him to succeed, but I don't think he is good enough at this point, he was off all last year,
so that could be part of it, just not enough in game action for him since he came out of college and then recently.

Rush is fresh out of college and game action, and if he doesn't play for 2-4 years, he might not look as good later on.
Dak was fresh out of college too, and I THINK that helped him too.

Who here is a doing that?

Trouty?

No one else is clamoring for him as far as I have seen.

Your signature is pathetic. It's not even funny, the guy is not even remotely stupid and every coach will tell you differently.

Kellen is that you?

I'm not a fan of Moore, like I'm not a fan of most backups QBs. I just think someone starting a thread acting baffled when there are multiple quotes you can point to from his college, to Lions former coaches/players, and Cowboys current staff that talk about his intelligence.

This is what I hate - EVERY SEASON this board finds someone to hate on. It just becomes ridiculous - if we start to lose this season, it will become worse.

You can dislike a player without exaggerating and making ridiculous threads.

Why are we overrating Kellen Moore's intelligence? His physical limitations have been well documented but for the life of me I cannot find any evidence that Kellen Moore has the necessary football intelligence to play in the NFL. He constantly holds the ball longer than he should and that is usually the sign of a confused QB. He constantly throws into double coverage and I rarely see him look off receivers. Even on his check downs he seems unsure.

His body language is also terrible. He never closes his mouth, which I conclude he is a mouth breather. I think the Cowboys are aware of this and I am confident they will do the right thing by cutting Moore. Rush outplayed him physically and with his mental grasp of the playbook. If the cowboys cut Rush instead of Moore, what message those that send to the other players?

I think the players have voice their opinion on the subject too. I think Witten expressed who he and the locker room favors with his Romo comparison comment. What are you all's thoughts? Can someone other than floaty show me an example of Moore's football IQ?

The smartest people rarely make the best players in sports. Dan Marino is dumb as a stump.

Drew Henson had a very high IQ but couldn't play QB worth a darn.

Think about video gamers. That takes quick responses but many of those people are dumb-dumbs away from the game console.
