Why aren’t many talking about the D?

Well, whatever they are doing now sure isn’t working. So I don’t see why they wouldn’t try it unless he’s not capable of it.
Genius . . . We are witnessing the break down & demise of Dak . . . and you want to give him more responsibility in the form of calling the plays

Amazing

No wonder Jerry can make the statements he does . . . Thus fan base is unbelievable

The defense dominated bad teams. The Giants and Pats are 2 of the bottom 5 OLs in football according to pff. This shouldn’t surprise anyone. All we added in the offseason was Gilmore and a rookie who barely plays. Jerry and son continue to rely on positive thinking to address defensive weaknesses.

Not everyone wants to see it but this is a much different defense without T.Diggs.
The defense seems soft and deflated on the back end, the safeties are not playing with that passion I saw last year, they got paid too

Because the defense wasn't as bad as the final score leads you to believe. Part of that score is the offense letting the defense down. Just like the cowboys putting up 40 on the giants wasn't all offense.

SF scores TD1, bad cowboys defense
Dallas 3 and out-
SF 3 and out, good defense
Dallas 3 and out
SF 11 and out- good defense
Dallas 1 play fumble
SF 2 plays fumble- good defense
Dallas 3 and out
SF 1 play, 38 yard TD bad defense. and this for me is key because while they gave up a big play SF started at Dallas's 38 yard line because they couldn't gain any yards on offense once again. This same thing happens later in the game as well.

Dallas offense had 4 possessions and ran only 10 plays. And everything went downhill, from there
I think this stretch of the game in the first half was awful and help set the tone for the whole game.
SF 11 and out- good defense
Dallas 1 play fumble
SF 2 plays fumble- good defense
Dallas 3 and out

You had the defense out there for 13 plays that resulted in a punt and a fumble recovery. The offense contributed 4 plays that included a fumble turnover. This stretch is an example on how a bad offense performance can effect defensive performance. It resulted in another SF touchdown.

We’re not talking about the D because we have an official Dak sucks mega thread that is featured on first page. That’s all you need to know.

Hard to sign high priced FA's when you are spending such a massive portion of your cap on a QB that essentially sucks at playing QB?

I’m not in the excuses for jerry business. Cooks was a big signing we didn’t need. That money should have gone to the defense where we were paper thin at LB and DT. The entire offseason should have been about building a run defense.

It was un sustainable for the defense to keep SF from putting up any more points. And then the offense gives them some short fields from 4 turnovers. How deflating is it if your a defense, you stop them 4 straight times only for the offense to fumble the ball on its 1st play and there you go back out there tired as all hell with zero 1st downs much less points.

Been a priority since that no name RB the Rams picked up from Home Depot ran all over this defense during the playoffs. So far their answer to it has been Hankins and Mazi Smith.

That’s not an answer, obviously. We need better version of LVE. A sideline to sideline tackling machine.

I don't know maybe because the offense didn't gain a first down in the first quarter and 6 of the first 7 drives went three and out. Any defense will struggle with an insipid offense like that against a stellar team.

All the talk after the SFO loss has been about how bad Dak dnd MM are, but why isn’t there more talk about how bad the defense was? Even if the offense played well, they weren’t scoring 40 points that the defense gave up. Defense couldn’t stop nothing on Sunday night both run/pass and had so many penalties that extended drives. Where was the pass rush, where were the turnovers?
You mean the traffic cones and speed bumps that is our defense?

Greenlaw or a clone of him is what we need but I don't expect our part time GM and brain trust to get one. Maybe we have one planned for the next 5 - 10 years.
That’s why we need draft picks. If we draft 2 or 3 of them, maybe one turns into a Warner or Greenlaw.

It could've been worse. The 49ers fumbled at the goal line, and they took our Purdy with almost a whole quarter to go. The whole team laid a giant turd in front of millions of fans. I can't think of one positive thing from that game. Parsons, who many here claim is our best player, I'm getting concerned about him. When getting doubled he kinda gives up on the play. He body language is not right. The last few "Sounds from the Sidelines" he looks like he's not having fun.
Mentioning "Sounds of the Game" - no release this week here in CZ because of the beat down?

3 interceptions plus a lost fumble makes it hard on the defense. Admittedly, the D was not great. 4 turnovers is a lot.

If Dallas's offense keeps possession and scores more points, San Fran scores fewer points. Dallas did not need to score 43 points to win.
we gave up 21 points in first half. with a fumble, which they redemmed themselves and got one back.

SF did what they wanted to this defense.

Wouldn't you love to see the ones in a loss? They won't show those. Do you know if that's a Cowboys Production that does those? If it's the NFL who does those things maybe they have one for every team that wins. I'm going to check for "Sounds of the Sideline" for the 49ers. Hang on.

Well they don't have "Sounds of the Sideline" but they have something similar. *Viewers Discresion is Advised* :(
