Why can't we be happy?

Extremely happy but as Romo pointed out, still a lot of self inflicted wounds with penalties and defensive breakdowns

Prospective is remembering that we have the 2nd easiest schedule in the NFL. These mistakes won’t be overcome in the playoffs but there’s still plenty of time to work on them and get this thing fine tuned

.......that Diggs and Parsons are ballers but the defense may not be ready for prime time.

Could be a replay of the 1991 playoff loss to the Lions when the defense got shredded. Picking up a Haley and a great safety could be the finishing touch

I'm excited as well. This is the best Cowboys team we've seen in decades. However, I don't count my chickens before they've hatched. There's some very good competition out there. The Bills, the Cards, and the Bucs are also all looking really good. This is an insanely competitive sport. We have a shot, and I'm excited for that. I just think it would be foolish to assume we have a championship in the bag. I think we end up playing the Cards in the NFC Championship, and we'll have a chance to win, but there ain't no guarantees. They're a really good team. But first things first. There's still a lot of football left to play.

I think he is 1 from tying the record, for consecutive games INTs that is. But im not sure.

The NFL record for most interceptions in a season is 14, led by Night Train Lane. Following is Xavien Howard at 10, and Dallas's Trevon Diggs with 7 so far. The National Football League (NFL) first started record-keeping for interception counts in 1940.13 hours ago

I think that a lot of people see that the team is barely through a third of their schedule, with a lot that can change between now and the end of the season. So far, they have looked very very good, and have exceeded my expectations. That being said, there is still a lot of road to go through before any absolutes can be said about this team. Road games against the Vikings, Chiefs and the Saints will be a challenge. Three games in the course of 11 days in late November/December, all against teams that don't utterly suck (@Chiefs, home for the Raiders on Thanksgiving, @Saints) will be grueling. Playing for 11 straight weeks will also be tough from an injury management standpoint.

This team does have a swagger and an edge. The offense and defense have looked well coached, and guys like Prescott, Gregory and Diggs are playing out of their minds. Being able to add guys like Lawrence, Gallup and Collins will only make them better. As long as this team can avoid major injuries to the offensive line, Dak Prescott and Gregory, the skies are the limit.

But, let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. The NFL has a way of course correcting whether your want it to or not.

Dak Prescott is our offensive MVP.

Trevon Diggs is our defensive MVP.

5-1, could be 6-0 or even 3-3.....I'm happy and excited about our team.....I don't understand all the negatives.....are some of you just being cautiously optimistic, or just negative?
Dak is good, Zeke is good our receivers are good, our
TEs and OL are good, our defense is above average.....we good....
Because people are never happy. People have to MAKE up stuff to be unhappy about so they can be happy.

I actually think the great majority of us...ARE! Great majority have noted what a different team this is..and THAT...in happiness.

Some of us have a very low bar for what we think is "happy".

"Dak fumbled 6 times already he needs to clean that up"

"WHY AREN'T YOU HAPPY YOU MFER!"...

So who is happy and who isn;t...is subjective. Maybe complaining about who isn't happy...is unhappy?

Not making accusations just posing a question for discussion.

Oh, we can be happy. I'm happy. I bet a couple others are happy.

The season is kinda playing out just as many predicted. first two games go 1-1 or 0-2, then run the next three, then New England was a tossup. That happened.

Us happy people shouldn't ride to high on this either for the same reason. It's kinda going as expected thus far, except we're doing it with some of the youth replacments, which is cool.
