Why couldn’t the vaunted Eagles defense stop the Cowboys offense?

I agree no one showed what they will be doing in the playoffs and both were hoping to have little exposure to injuries. All bets are off if they play again.

Dallas and Philly both used plays that would have been nice to save for the playoffs, BUT they both wanted to win this game, so they used them!!! The 4th down play we pitched it to Zek was a prime example. Also, the 4th down play Philly made look like a bubble screen, to confuse Diggs, then through the ball over his head for an easy TD.

Perhaps the fact that the 4 turnovers happened within Philly territory and resulted in 20 Dallas points is the point.

We still had to gain 419 yards AND none of them were garbage yards. They ALL were earned!!
Also, the Offense still had to turn those turnovers into points. We had the lead late when we kicked the FG’s. If we had been behind we would have been more aggressive on offense( for those saying we only kicked FG’s after 2 of the turnovers).

Eagles lose game 1 if Rush doesn't give them 3,..we can play the what if game and try and make bold statements that can not ever be verified. Games go how games go. inserting a hypothetical cant change the outcome...

when fans understand this, well we would have smarter debates.

Our team since the last month of 2020 is turnover producing team, we are one of the top defenses in that category, pus 13 tops in league this year, last year point differential was ridiculously high.. so its not dumb luck, they stole those INTs ... we will either get pressure and sacks or get timely TOS , its part of our Identity.

how do you know? how do you know we don't drive down the field and score and hold the ball longer, because we did that through out the game.

btw, one of the turnovers was on our 40....so imagine a punt that was returned to the 40 or instead of starting on the 25, we started on the 40. is that a big difference? still had to drive 60 yards. the last turnover, we killed time, we forced them to use their timeouts.

and without them getting a TD on a turnove, they don't win...

The Eagles defense came into the game as the #1-#3 rated defense depending on what stat you chose. They had been playing lights out all year long. Even after Saturday the Eagles are #2 in yards allowed. They’re #1 in passing yards allowed. They came into this game at full strength defensively. Why couldn’t they stop the Cowboys offense? Please one of you doubters tell me why the best defense in the NFL couldn’t stop the Cowboys offense?

The Eagles look like the Cowboys defense that lost a DT, LB, CB, and S. You lose defensive starters, and your depth is not deep, you become what both the Cowboys and Eagles defenses are....suspect.

without them getting a TD off a turnover, they lose....we still had to get 420 yards of offense. that's a good offense any day, any circumstance, turnovers or not.
