Why did it take so long for people to understand dak is not a franchise qb

Not having a dependable running game is putting a lot of pressure on Dak this year but it can be argued he has struggled even when being surrounded by a versatile and talented roster. Having to pass so much makes it easy for other teams to game plan for the Cowboys. The O Line struggles could open up Dak to injury leaving a 60M dollar QB unable to do anything. Looking ahead who replaces Dak? I don't see a lot of great QB's coming out of college after this year. Shaduer Sanders? The Cowboy backups are career backups and only temporary solutions. Bring in a good running back. Improve the O Line. Strengthen the defense with an effective pass rush. Then our next QB doesn't have to be Tom Brady good or pass 50 times to give the Cowboys a chance to win.

lol 'franchise QB' - whatever that means.
He has been ranked as a top 10-12 QB by experts for a few years now. Whether that's good enough or not depends on the team around the QB.
yes exactly

depend on the team around the qb

wich is why u cant give a BUM qb like dak a huge % of the cap because he is 100% dependent on every one else on offense to do their job at a high lvl for him to do his job at a high lvl

that is the exact opposite of a franchise qb wich os why paying him like a franchise qb is STUPID

franchise qb = elevate every one around them wich is why u do not hurt ur team paying them so much money

not franchise qb = depend on every one else to elevate them

dak have never once elevated the team if every one else is not playing good he cant do any thing

paying a qb like that the money the cowboys did is so stupid but people will see and under stand soon they already are seeing it and it will only get worst and more ugly and I cant wait!!!!!

Which really good games against really good teams?
The Seattle playoff game, where he took the team on his back to seal the deal at the end, and Tampa in a losing effort the following year. Two games where I thought, okay...he can maybe be elite.

Tell him to hand 30 a year back then.
When you post such a ridiculous comment, it's hard to take you seriously. If you said, "Tell him to hand $10 - $12 million a year back." That would be a statement worth taking seriously.

Give Dak more than 1 legit WR weapon, a good run/pass blocking Oline and some semblance of a running game, he will tear up most opposing defenses. It's not hard to understand that.
We’ve seen him for 9 years. You give him all that and he is lighting up sub .500 teams.

Group 1: There are 4 franchise QBs in the NFL. Mahomes, Jackson, Allen, Burrow

Group 2: There are around15 guys that are different levels of competent. including Dak

Group 3: Then there are 10-12 teams that have no shot because they have no QB.

The Cowboys and other teams in group 2 are terrified of being in group 3. It's not that hard to understand why guys like Dak get paid.

The discussion isn't whether Dak is a franchise QB. The discussion is whether you want to risk being irrelevant by moving on from a competent QB like Dak.
Now we are paying Dak like he is Mahomes while getting tier 3 results

What do you expect Dak to do? He's got no weapons. CeeDee was constantly double teamed (including that INT in the endzone) while no one else was getting open. That's not including Dak being under constant pressure all game long. It's super easy for any good defensive coached team to defend and shut down this only 1 WR weaponized Offense when there is no other legit WR besides CeeDee to worry about and account for. Add in a poor Oline that still struggles to run/pass block or get any running game going. Well, there you have it. Too easy for opposing playoff proven opponents.
What is the benefit of paying him 240m$ if he does not shoulder responsibility in the failures of the offense?

You could have gotten Flacco for cheap if you needed a QB who wouldn’t be responsible for anything

i do not under stand why it took so long.

it have been obvious from a long, long time ago that he is not a "franchise" qb in the sens that he does not elevate any one. wich is what you HAVE to have a franchise qb do when you give them a big % of the salary cap.

dak have NEVER, EVER, EVER elevate the team around him. he have been a passenger from day 1 and he never evolve past it. he is dependent on every one else to make him look good that is a FACT and u can not deny that any more

i have been saying it for YEARS because it was so obvius i bet if u look back now u can see it also.

look at caleb williams

look at jaden daniel

they ELEVATE

this is not a thing in the same sens but the aura around the bears and commander is different u can feel it that is what a franchise qb does

dak is not a franchise qb he never have been and he never will be but i just do not get why only a couple people could saw it before this year

I've been saying this since 2016 and repeatedly bashed for it- to the point my threads are monitored and have to await moderators approval before they can be seen.
The reason is all of the family, friends and employees of Dak and his agent who join every site such as this and push out propaganda to gullible fans.
The NFL is big money now, and not everything is as it seems. You might think you are posting with friends, but you are posting with paid employees a great deal of the time who know that hyping a player means money in their pockets.
That's why they post stats, lie, and do whatever else is necessary to keep their supported player seem as if he is the only real answer.
:hammer:some of them are Obvious as heck too ..........

We need an actual front-office that BUILDS a TEAM. We've had nearly 30 years of failure, so it's much deeper than Dak. Drafting a new QB won't fix anything. Even if we had Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady here, they'd still fail because we'd have some laid back Jerry friendly coach that doesn't instill discipline and we'd get beat up against physical teams and they'd only bring on talent to the extent of hitting that 2nd round ceiling. The more talent we have at the QB position means the easier the front-office can take it and the cheaper they can go in acquiring talent in free agency.
