Why did we bench Tony Romo for Dak

Watching the last few Cowboys games, man the offense is just ridiculous. Feels like switching off the TV. This is not even an entertaining product.

Dak has been playing horrible; it's indesputable. That said, I won't indulge in revisionist history. There was a point during our 11 game win streak in 2016 that you had to concede and keep Dak at the helm.

Because Troy Aikman said if that happened the chemistry of the entire offense would be jeopardized.

Never liked the way they handled Romo in 2016

Was it a power struggle between coaches and Romo or was it really talent difference between Dak and Romo.

Since we are seeing who real Dak is. We lost an opportunity in NFCCG/SB during 2014 season. How come coaches couldn't see what kind of QB we had.
I used to think 2015 was a blessing in disguise getting the future QB and RB duo but instead I think 2016 was a curse in disguise.

You play the best players and worry about the rest later. If Rom only lasts a couple of games so be it but while he was healthy he was the best QB
Just like Lee. You’re only effective when healthy enough to play. Romo wasn’t healthy. Face it. I’m glad he retired. Would’ve been sad to see him carried off crippled.

Romo was fragile. Any big hits had the potential to injure his shoulder or back.

Plus, Romo typically did not play well under pressure or in must win games.

We had quite a run going and coaches didn’t want to mess with what was working. It’s really that simple.

Romo hasn't been any further than Dak in the playoffs. What exactly would have Romo done?
WE'RE NOT IN THE PLAY-OFFS AND WHAT ROMO HAS DONE IS KEEP MOST OF OUR FAIR WEATHER FANS AROUND. IF IT WEREN'T FOR ROMO'S EXITING QB PLAY, MOST FANS WOULD HAVE JUMPED OFF THE WAGON LONG AGO.
